You cannot beat the quality or the craftsmanship of this butcher block. It arrived quickly and in pristine condition. I cannot believe the price on this was only $130.00! By far, my favorite purchase on Amazon.

So I received my cutting board today, I’m very pleased with it! I applied oil and will apply more later if warranted. I measured it and it matches the description as advertised. At 16 lbs. it is heavy, I wouldn’t recommend dropping it on your foot!I did see a blemish on the edge, but as I will be using this I’m not concerned, it adds some character to it.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cutting board.I’m updating my review, I’ve had my cutting board for a few weeks and have oiled it and used the Boos cream. It’s turning out very well. I used it for the first time last week to prepare 2 Cornish hens.It was great, and cleaned up fast. I did removed the rubber “feet” from the bottom so I could oil that side as well and be able to use it to cut, chop.I’ve oiled it and have used the cream also.This is a FANTASTIC cutting/work station board!!The third photo is the “bottom “ after I oiled and sealed it.OH!!! when I apply the oil and cream, I use my hands, the heat created while rubbing them in helps the board to absorb them easier.

"Not a solid block of wood. Anything that I cut up that has liquid in it will bleed through to the middle of the cutting board. Not a good value for money."

The board is thick and heavy, sturdy. Unfortunately, as others have also mentioned, the board arrived with a few dings and nicks and divots (one shown in image). The company said they could not offer any repair or recourse, as they "needed to honor their agreement with the retailer of record", for whatever that is worth.Decent board, but at this price point, quality control, and customer service, I would not buy from this company again.

This is about as solid a cutting board/butcher block as you’ll find. But beware, it really is quite large. It’s three inches tall. Measure it out so you understand. It has non-slip pads which are a very thoughtful detail. But as it’s big and heavy, so you won’t be moving it around. It will stay where it is. It’s too heavy and big to pick it up and move it around much. If all that is fine with you, then this is a great cutting board.
