Solidly made
The lightest slam balls my gym had was 40 lbs. At nearly 60, it was a bit heavy for me when doing high reps of slam ball slams, or slam ball passes so I decided to get my own that was more in line with my fitness level to take to the gym with me on the days the workout called for slam balls. Of course, as soon as I did, they bought a bunch of lower weight balls. But I digress, the ball itself is built very solidly. I got the 20#. I can slam pretty hard and haven't felt that it is going to burst. It has a good no-slip surface as well.

Only workout equipment one may ever need
REALLY enjoy this “slam ball,” just found out about it yesterday, had the opportunity to use one and then came home and purchased one, arrived today and my legs and core definitely feel the workout! Between the overhead slam(that I did yesterday)and the Russian twist I learned about via the paperwork that came with it I’m VERY PLEASED!

Fun piece of gym equipment
I have the 20 lb ball. Ive really enjoyed this medicine ball so far. Its great for medball slams and good to work the hips and abs, also good for lighter weight squats. The ball can feel a bit slick and slippery when its brand new but ive noticed after a few uses and beating it up a little the grip gets better. Will buy more sizes!

Type of surface
I can't speak of durability yet, but it is awesome so far. I go through the process of slamming the ball, but without the slam. I live in an apartment, I dropped the ball from 5 inches from the floor and it shook the whole place. I like that the weight shifts due to the filling, it forces you to stay focused. Once I start to slam it I'll do an update. I bought the one with the knobs on it, that may have a mistake. Wasn't thinking about how the dirt would bet stuck it them. I was thinking about yhe grip ability.

Does the job
You can feel the sand roll around inside but it’s fine for doing my “raise the roof arm lifts”
