Although not the cheapest lip balm on the market, this is well worth the money. It has a good consistency so that it adheres well without being sticky or greasy, I find it makes a pretty good base for lipstick.As a regular cold sore sufferer, I decided there was nothing to lose by adding this to my arsenal in the war against these nasty, painful sores. Whilst I can't say that this lip balm alone is some kind of magical cure, I can say that it is a very soothing addition to be used along side all the other tools in the weaponry, namely red light therapy, lysine tablets, cold sore patches and even one of those gadgets that blasts cold sores with all the heat of a blastfurnace. All have a place in keeping them at bay, but I like to think that this lysine lip balm also helps keep them at bay whilst soothing dry lips.I will definitely buy this again and, frankly, if you want to try almost anything to keep your cold sores away, you have little to lose, much to gain and softer lips into the bargain.

I started applying this and taking the oral supplement one month before my sunshine holiday. Left my lips very soft with no cracking as I've really dry lips anyway, that was a real plus. I am prone to cold sores from a teenager and thought I'd give this a go as bright sunlight triggers them. Disappointed to say I still got one on my top lip, albeit a small one as I kept applying this balm. It's very good for moisturising your lips but preventing an outbreak if you are prone - I'm not so sure.

I take the tablet form a d they are amazing I can totally recommend the lips salve felt a cold sore coming up first in 18month used the lip salve right away and it came to nothing so carry one with me at all times this is the best lip salve I have tried highly recommend

This stuff is great. As a life long cold sore sufferer I do everything I can to try and prevent breakouts. I now use this every day and it keeps my lips nicely moisturised which helps stop the pre-blister chapping. Possibly the best testament I can give is after spending 5 days in Tromso, in sub zero degree conditions, with snow and biting winds, I applied this regularly and my lips remained beautifully soft and more importantly unblistered.

Doesn't prevent or reduce cold sores - assume very little lysine in them

A very effective and reasonably priced product, with good delivery and pleasant customer support. I always buy the pack of 2 because a member of my family inevitably tries to scrounge off me :-)

I’ve tried all types of balms over the years. My lips can be very sensitive and I’ve suffered with cold sores since a child. I jumped at seeing this balm and ordered them straight away. The balm is lovely and moisturising, fingers crossed there’ll be no more outbreaks. I’d recommend just as a balm, it’s the best I’ve used.
