The mats are nice and adequately thick. It seems like the grid and circle guide are printed well--the ones I've connected so far are matching nicely. They smell how this type of foam always smells.Unfortunately, the set arrived with the pin container popped open, so there were pins everywhere from the Amazon box, the product box itself, and in between the mats. We counted 135 of them, so I'm missing 15 pins. Not a big deal as I was planning to get comb pins soon, but I'm a little disappointed. Not enough to deal with getting an exchange though.I like the tangerine color! It's a true terracotta.Edited to add: The seller contacted me after my review and made things right! Stoked to be able to enjoy these mats to their fullest potential. Yay!

Great quality pins and mats.

Everything is as described. The pieces are easy to connect. There are plenty of pins provided. The set comes in a beautiful box that is convenient to carry. The lines help aline the pieces to block them to shape.

Thick enough for what I need. The ones for children are cheaper. However, we are too cent for the pins. Fits well together. Have both orange and the cream. 2 boxes together fits a blanket.

I love the fact that you can fit the pieces together in multiple ways to get just the right size for the piece you're blocking. The thickness of the mats is just right. I can already see an improvement in the items I make.

My daughter taught herself to crochet and made cardigans for her three cousins this Christmas. She needed to block each square but didn’t have any blocking mats of her own. She borrowed these and actually used them before I got to. These were very handy for her since she needed to make each block 6” and she was able to use the lines on the mats to make them all equally sized without having to measure each one individually. This was a huge time saver for her. She tried spray blocking, wet blocking, and steam blocking before deciding which result she liked best. These mats held up to all types well.I like that these are thicker mats. I have two other sets of mats. One is one-half-inch and the other is one-inch thick. This is a nice in-between mat that’s not too thin for blocking most projects. I also like that this has the printed circles for projects that aren’t square. It’s possible to block circular projects using square grids as a guide, but it’s far easier to have the circle already printed. The price is also comparable with other mat sets of similar thickness – not cheap but definitely not more expensive than others.

First time buying blocking blocks and these were easy to put together and take apart. The heavy piece of wool I had to block stayed in place. The bos the blocks came is works to store them. Great product.
