Lego like fun
Very fun to do, and the video instructions were way more helpful that any sort of paper instruction would be. Took roughly two days of off and on progress to complete, but I work from home and have more free time than most. I compare the feeling of doing this kit with completing a Lego set. When I was a young kid, I had a small digimon plush that was my comfort toy. This reminded me of him, which is why I chose the dinosaur. Mine came out a little lumpy and misshapen because I missed a few loops here and there, but otherwise it still looks great. Beware the spikes and arms though, that part is harder than I thought it was going to be!

Totally worth it, even if you kinda know how to crochet
I’ve been crocheting easy things for years but never formally learned how to crochet and can’t read a pattern. I’m blown away by videos and this kit. I’ve learned so much. The yarn is much easier to learn on than regular yarn because it doesn’t have holes in the yarn so all of the holes in your project are clearer to see.Something so great is that they start it for you (circle stitches are trickier to learn and you don’t have to here) you truly can start from scratch, knowing nothing, and make these cute little toys. The instructions couldn’t be better. I’ve tried tutorials on YouTube but still really struggled, these are much better. I hope they keep making kits, I’d prefer to learn all the stitches and techniques this way. There are less expensive kits from other sellers but I really believe this is worth it. Once you learn here then you can grab from free patterns online. I’m so impressed with the kit design and tutorials.

I Finally Learned to Crochet!
I am an advanced beginner level knitter. I've been knitting for a long time, but I have ADHD and really struggle with the size and complexity of knitting projects. I like short, quick projects. Once I moved to the desert, I no longer had a reason to make hats and scarves, so I was mostly making dishcloths. It gets old.I'd always heard crocheting was easier and faster, but since I'm a "thrower" knitter, using my left hand to hold the yarn just seemed to really confuse me and I struggled to learn. I tried. Really, I did. I watched videos. I read books. I had a friend try to teach me. I took a class at a local yarn store. I made the most progress in that class, but when I asked them for an easy pattern to practice what I'd learned, she said no, just keep working on my swatch. Well, that's just not going to make my brain happy to randomly make stitches with no direction, so that was the end of that. This was my last attempt. If I couldn't do it with this, I was going to just accept that my brain is not going to learn how to do this and I would just have to accept I was a knitter, but would never be a crocheter.Well, I'm THRILLED to report, that I I finished Fred the Dinosaur. I can crochet. Barely. But I can actually see a path to finally getting the hang of this craft. The video tutorials were super helpful. I followed along. I rewatched some eight times. I pulled out the same row five times because I kept forgetting to count (you fellow ADHD'ers know what I'm talking about) and would lose track of my stitches. But I finished.WARNING: They have Beginner and Beginner+ level kits. Fred is a Beginner+. If you have literally never crocheted before, I do not recommend him as your first. It can be done, I am proof. But this was not easy and it involved a significant amount of frogging (ripping out stitches and rows) and profanity. His body was easy enough but those yellow spikes are what make him a real challenge. I'd recommend perhaps starting with Pierre the Penguin. You can find the skill ratings on the Woobles website.

Expensive but Incredibly Beginner Friendly
The wooble kits are expensive, but it will come with everything you need to make an adorable little critter. These have great beginner tutorial videos and beginner yarn, especially if you've never crocheted before (which was me).If you buy more than one - or many - you're going to quickly notice that you're getting the same hook over and over (a not that great but not that bad hook). Sometimes on their website - not sure about Amazon - there's occasionally the option to get a kit sans hook. That's always nice. There's a slight Beanie Baby aspect of "collecting them all," and "here's some novelty hooks, collect them all," which I would be cautious of if you have an addictive personality. That said, making Fred the Dino was a delight and now that I have his pattern I can make him anytime I want, even with more challenging yarn one day. (Once you use your unique kit login you can download the pattern or just remember to save your login card with the password). I definitely recommend for beginners.

Great First time kit
I bought this kit so I could learn how to crochet. It was extremely easy to understand and worked very well. The quality of the yard was exceptional and made it easy to work.

Better value than a semester's worth of college
I was always fascinated with crochet. I had a couple of friends who would crochet and it looked like witchcraft. There were some times when people would try to show me basic stitches, but I never got the hang of it. Until The Woobles.I fell hard for the marketing. It was just so cute, and I figured it would be worth a shot. I really loved that the kit came with everything I needed to make this adorable little bunny, so I didn't need to buy a million things and hope I got the right ones. I'll admit, it was pretty challenging, but the end result came out so great that I was inspired to crochet more. Now, I'm known as the crochet fiend in my friend group. I can make practically anything and I owe it all to the Woobles. It doesn't just teach you how to crochet, it teaches you how to understand crochet, like with reading a pattern. IAnytime now someone asks me how to learn crochet, I direct them straight to this company.
