What are miniatures that the box comes with?

This is not a PC game, this is the Beginner box for the table-top miniatures game.

Is this suitable for a 10 year old boy? Is it one or two player?

It is a 2 player game, as for being suitable for a 10 year old boy, it depends if he is patient and likes a some crunchy rules. It is a pretty easy rule set but some kids might not have patience for it. However, if he likes giant mechs figt each other, it's a good introduction to Battletech. Also the 2 mechs that come with the box are cool and there's lots of cardboard mechs and acessecories to make the game replayable for quite a while.
