I have this mounted in my 2018 BMW X5 50.I mounted above the ignition switch.I am using an Otterbox Mag-Safe case. It holds my iPhone 13 nicely and charges my iPhone 13 perfectly.Very nice not having to plug in the phone every time I go out. Also I can leave the phone on continuously while driving to view Pandora, map system or whatever.

Bought this to use on my desk. I am new to Peak Design products but I’ll be buying more. I purchased as second one (non-charging) to mount a radar detector in my car and it works well. Adhesion is great and comes with a spare just in case you need to replace it. Thank you!

Clear installation instructions. The wire clips are a phenomenal addition. The only downside in my opinion is the cord. It's a plastic usb-c and charges a good 20% slower than my cheap Anker cords. Paying $75 for a product I have to immediately swap out a part for is ridiculous. 🤷🏽‍♂️

They think of the little things such as two alcohol wipes and adhesive and little cable holder to keep the cable close to the dash instead of hanging away from it just asking to get snagged.

Adheres well, no worries about the charger coming off. I use the Pixel 7 Pro with PeakDesign's case, and the magnet strength is perfect. I think I could get into a head-on collision and it'd stay on, but it's not difficult to remove.Big problem though, the charging is very intermittent. While I'm driving, I'd notice the phone lighting up as if it's just connecting to the charger- multiple times. This is unrelated to bumps and such, it just doesn't keep charging consistently. May have something to do with the case, but these are both Peak Design products, and I have no issues with my desk wireless charger with the case.It also doesn't charge impressively fast. If I have a bunch of apps open, it'll charge enough to keep gaining battery (instead of draining), but not by much.I'd maybe gain ~2-4% over the course of a 30m drive (compared to the ~20-40% gain from using my desk wireless charger). So the actual charging capability is disappointing, however it'd be fine on a road trip. If I need a quick charge, I'd unplug the USB-C cable and just charge my phone directly.Build quality is fantastic, only complaint is the charging speed. I'm not sure if this behavior is abnormal or not.

This is the best phone mounts of the four or five I’ve tried.My 4Runner does not have many appropriate surfaces on which to mount. I chose a small surface below the fan switch. I do have to glance down a bit to see, but on the plus side, there is never any glare on the screen and from outside the car it is practically invisible.I would recommend buying the phone case from the same company. I had a cheap one from a big box store that was difficult to place on the sweet spot

No clue how to prevent the over heating. The charging switches on and off and maybe this is related to my cell temperature. I find the charger to be extremely hot to touch. I have removing it completely from being adhered to anything and away from the vents so that is not the cause of the heat. I do only use the cord and plug in that came with the device. Now I just use the mount to hold up my phone while I charge through the phone only and not the adapter. Bummer!
