DANCO Touch-Toe Tub and Bath Drain Kit, Chrome, 1-Pack (51930)

Tub plumbing was draining slower than molasses in January in New Hampshire. Tore out old 1978 plumbing and decided to look on Amazon and see what my options were for replacements. Found this package for $20 and decided to order it. Arrived next day and had my 18-yr old assist with the replacement. Pieces went together very easily and everything lined up like it should have. Had to cut and glue a couple of pieces together beyond these items but in the end, no leaks and it drains like it should. Overall, excellent plumbing kit for $20 and easy to follow instructions on the back of the box. I didn't need them but they are always good to have!

Fits my claw foot perfect

Not exactly as advertised but the picture is correct. This "DANCO Lift and Turn Tub and Bath Drain Kit, Chrome, 1-Pack (51930)" is actually a spring loaded POP-UP drain.All parts to install it on a standard tub are included. The parts bag with two tapping screws and a steel plate are not described in the directions. It goes across the finished side of the tub (lower portion of overflow hole) to hold the overflow pipe in place and compress the gasket. If not installed, a leak will likely happen when water is at the overflow opening.Some installations may require trimming of the bottom drain tailpiece to maintain the correct overflow pipe angle. If the underside of the tub drain flange is not smooth, apply RTV silicone between it and the rubber gasket.Some reviews say it's cheap/flimsy. It's made of the same type of plastic that all plastic fixture drain parts are made of. This identical part is what the local hardware stores sell and what plumbers install. Don't over tighten the fittings and all will be well!

Easy to install and the toe-tap drain works great.There's an internal plastic lip where the horizontal drain tube attaches to the vertical tube. This would cause a small amount of water to stay in the drain tube rather than go on down, which I didn't like. So used a small round file to remove it at it's lowest point so all the water would drain. Easy and didn't cause any problems.

It worked and it's a good value. The instructions didn't seem great, but if you don't already know how to install it, you shouldn't really be buying it.

So glad I went with this, instead of replacing it with another chain assembly.. now years down the line if the toe stopper wears out I can just unscrew it and screw another into the basket with no tools required. No cheap plastic levers inside a pipe. This would have been easy to install. My tub is an older claw foot. The gasket for overflow did not fit and the faucet assembly was too close to the chrome cover. This is not a problem with the product just my tub. A little modification and some plumbers putty and it was all set.

Frustrating. But not all the product. The dimensions were off. Had to end up making our own.
