Yes I use full spec golf balls all the time

How do we get the net connected to the back end of the frame on the ground?

Net comes with 4 U pins the front 2 have guides and the remaining 2 can be placed on the rear part or at the furthest point back from the front on the side bar. The Second two do need to be at the rear right angle.

Can this be used for cricket balls?

I can't see why it wouldn't work, I've adapted mine by adding debris netting, I bought 10 mtrs and folded over into 3, cable tied it together to keep it as 3 for speed fitting. So, now it stops everything I am yet to try, however that does not include cricket balls. It now has a loop at the top 2 corners which hook onto the top corners of the frame, it cost very little to do this. To make the frame even quicker to assemble, I used different colour tape to have matching colours at the joints.

How long does it take to erect?

About 10 minutes the first time while unpacking everything but under 5 minutes after that.
