Easy-to-read guide on how to run your business well in payroll & HR matters
Payroll can be a confusing, scary and risky function for a small business owner, especially those of us who are not gifted with a finance mind naturally. In my 20 years as a business owner, we've approached payroll as DIY, with a PEO and lately (thankfully) with a payroll service. This book could have saved me quite a few hard learning lessons, especially in those early years.I love the icon-based approach to quickly skim for key concepts, fast tips and even funny (and some scary) example stories. I've come to rely on this book for quick fact checks -- way more reliable than an Internet search - and easier as the index is quite robust. I also really love that they share a companion website to access for links, updated rules and the like.I'm planning to order copies for my clients who are business owners as it's a tremendous resource for every business owner.
