Just what I was looking for
I ordered this to be used as a stage wash light for an upcoming backyard concert / party we are having. I put it on a 12' T bar light stand and aimed it down at about 45 degrees and it works GREAT. A lot of reviews I have seen are complaining about the light being too bright - thats fine and it is really bright, but wouldn't it be worse for it to be too dim. The way I see it is I can always do what some of the YouTube tutorials are doing and put auto window tint on it if it ever bothers me - although so far it hasn't. The light does have a lot of different modes and some settings for each mode - by no means is this a complaint but the different settings are kind of confusing. Again not a big deal - I will probably end up printing out a list of what they are and stick it to the back for reference. All in all I think this is a great light and for the price I will probably be buying another very soon.John

I love it except fo one thing...
i love the light except for one thing... you can't get a good/decent amber color out of it unless you connect it to a DMX controller (or set it to white and use amber colored gels taped on to the light which i have successfully done). I am not that good with DMX so i have to call chauvet to get some instruction on how to set it up right, but so far the colors are bright, rich and they cover a good amount of space. i use it as a backlight for my DJ facade. im thinking of buying a few more to add to my up-light set up.

One of the coolest things I've bought until it stopped working.
Something I didn't even know existed until I saw it at a local bar live band stage a few years back when LED stage lighting was new. Coolest thing I'd seen so I took a pic of the label on my phone and tracked it down and bought one. Absolutely loved it from day one. Now I'm not in a band or a club owner, I just got it for use at parties at my home. In a good year I might fire it up maybe three times and it never travels, just sits atop some cabinets in my kitchen aimed into the living room. That is why I was surprised when it recently failed. Upon power up, it just flashes quickly and no longer responds to the control buttons on the back panel, like the firmware/software crashed. I guess I should be happy it still lights up, but as someone who often pays a premium to buy professional/commercial-grade equipment for "civilian" usage, I find this failure very disappointing. To be fair, I've scoured the internet to find reports of similar failures and so far haven't found any so maybe I'm just unlucky, but still at the same time, I don't think it's unreasonable that more is expected from professional-grade equipment. Caveat emptor.

Good bright light
We use two of these along with 8 LED par cans for a stage wash/effect. This rig replaced 8 old pars and is brighter and a lot more interesting with DMX shows setup. Now we run color changes and effects from an Ipad across the room. Very cool - both literally and figuratively!! I love taking the lights down within seconds of turning them off!My only concerns on this unit is that it is a bit heavy compared to other LED lights and the built in programs(shows) are somewhat limited. That said, it's much brighter than others and seems very sturdy. Hopefully it can take the abuse.

Chauvet Color Strip
I love the color strip I will be buying another in the future! It puts out great light and it responds well to sound even when used without the DMX. Gives out incredible light. Much more then I expected for the money. It was definately worth what I spent.

They maybe last a year or two They don’t stand behind it.
We bought 7 of these. One stopped working except to flash obnoxiously once in a while. Several other flicker or have dead LEDs.I contacted Chauvet, and they responded with a heel dragging “fill out all this paperwork, dig out all your receipts, send them in at your expense, pay $50 each “diagnosis fee” and maybe we will fix it and send it back to you at your expense.”In other words, get lost.

This is what you've been looking for!
I replaced my wash lights with 2 of these and honestly you probably only need 1! These are that bright. The look fantastic and give you a ton of options on how to wash the room. Plus effects are great too. This is the light you've been waiting for!
