Grand kids LOVE this!
This toy/puzzle is not only fun, it teaches the kids number, shapes, colors, patterns! I had this in my house now for over four years. Perfect for 1 1/2 > 4 yr olds & maybe older. Just bought this new one for us along with a birthday gift for a two year old. All the littles that come to Grama's play with it! Best gift!!

Great for learning the visual number with counting
The media could not be loaded. I loveeee this! I bought it for my daughter. The colors are a really pretty pastel, and with a lot of kids toys they come in a cliche red blue yellow color wheel color. This is a little different. I really appreciated the face that the colors line up… 2 grey rings, with a grey number 2 for example… and it makes distinguishing the “written” number 2, with the physical quantity of 2. I appreciate that it’s a visual representation with the ability to count. It’s one thing to count, it’s another thing to recognize the number associated with counting. The only thing I didn’t like (but fixed) was the wooden pegs. They’re loose, as in… you put them in the board but they don’t stick. I glued them in to make it a little easier. So it’s an easy fix if you’re like me, but overall I’m super happy with it and think it’s a great learning tool!

Good for teaching my 3yr old grandson?
This is a really great teaching tool. You can teach numbers, shapes, colors of the numbers and shapes, it's a wooden puzzle for those numbers and shapes, and also teach counting. However, when matching the colors of all of the above, you would think the manufacturer would put the correct number of same color rings so the child doesn't get confused. That being said, on the number 9 there are 6 green rings and then it's like they threw in any color to make them add up to 9 rings. So each number has the correct amount of rings and in the correct matching color, except for the number 9. There are 6 green rings and then 3 orange rings. Why? I'd like to have the 3 orange rings replaced with 3 (matching) green ones. Doesn't that make sense?? Why aren't the rings in the number 9 category all matching, like all the other numbers?? I took off a star for that and is well deserved in my opinion. Otherwise, it's a great teaching tool, teaching multiple things. However, I would like to be pleasantly surprised with 3 lime green rings in my mailbox. How confusing to a 3-yr old, trying to match all of the colors and then one of the numbers is wrong. Three lime green rings, please.

For kids not into cartoon dog drama
Our kid got this at age 2 and on his 3rd birthday was counting to 300, knew what 10 minus 1 equaled, and knew that 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10 = 55 No joke this was one of the best "toys" he ever received. It even comes with 55 rings so e.g. you can add 8 rings to number 8. He knew all his shapes including a trapezoid. I am an adult and had no idea what the heck was a trapezoid. When he started Pre-K on his 3rd birthday....he knew. He knew..... Get this, or just stick your kid in front of the TV cartoon dogs consumed by mindless drama and call it a child raising.
