Perfect for holding medicine tablets in your pocket survival tin.
I bought these as handy little pill/tablet storage containers for making those ubiquitous pocket sized "survival kit" tins that folks make out of empty Altoids tins. They work great for that, and they're easily worth the price. The slide-off lids are snug and have a small detent on one end to secure them closed, but they're not hard to open. They easily fit a dozen or more aspirin, benadryl, Tylenol, etc tablets and they stack 2-high neatly inside a typical Altoids or Sucrets tin, or in the generic "blank" ones available here on Amazon that I also ordered. I then took a label maker and printed a label for each one with the contents and the expiration date for whatever medication they held. Very handy for building a small custom pocket survival tin.

Works well in my altoids can
I normally keep some pills in an altoids can and got tired of them getting all mixed up, this solved the problem. I can fit 6 of these in an altoids can and stick duct tape labels on top so I know what I'm opening. It does rattle a bit in the can but it's in my bag so it's not a huge deal.

Ordered 6 but received 3
The tins themselves are nice and about what I expected. Three of these mini tins fit in an Altoids tin almost exactly, if you place them in there side-by-side. I wanted the tins to organize small items stored in Altoids tins (buttons, sewing pins, matches, razor blades, push pins, quick tinder... you get the idea). The tins are fit for this purpose.I paid for six tins and only received three. I have seen other reviewers say they received 4 or 5 but no one else seems to have only received 3. I contacted Amazon customer service and they made good on it.

Perfect for my Celtic Salt
The new hype it is taking Celtic salt so instead of carrying the bag of salt around I filled all 6 of these I keep one in the kitchen, next to the bed, my purse, car, office, gave one to my husband whom I now force to take Celtic salt too. :) The lids fully slide off, they are made strong, so the lid won't slide off unless you're really push it, so I am not worries about anything falling out. These are so convenient to carry a few Tylenols or vitamins if you are traveling.

Great for a few pills
I bought these little tins to keep a few pills in a slim purse, and ended up using them in my gym bag and several other places too. I wanted something non-plastic, small and flat, and these fit the bill. The tops remain closed and don’t spill the contents, which I had been a little bit worried about. I do wish they were just a bit bigger, but they do hold capsules quite easily.

3.5* Bigger than expected. Okay for small items but would not use for anything that could melt/leak.
I thought these would be a little smaller like the lip balm tins from when I was a kid. These are a bit bigger. They're okay for loose solid items like bobby pins, safety pins, earrings, etc. They are okay for TicTacs or other small breath mints for in your pocket as the container is low-profile and will not look bulky in your pocket. Because these are metal, if something is loose in there, you may hear items move around if it is quiet and the container is in your pocket while you are moving.I would not recommend lip balms or anything that could melt or leak if you're going to carry them anywhere because these do not have a tight seal at all. If you're using at home only and plan to keep upright, they're probably fine. All else aside, the material appears to be good quality, looks nice, and should not scratch/dent unless you cram your pockets tightly with a lot of hard stuff. While it's been over a year since I've purchased these, I cannot speak to long-term exposure to elements - rust, etc.

Great little tins for the money
These tins were exactly as described, and seen pretty stout for their size. The sizing was right on the money and the price

Very handy
I intended to use these to carry small amounts of medication with me. Specifically a kind that comes in a blister pack and I just wanted one or two pills but wanted them protected. And I'm using one tin for that. I cut two pills out of the blister pack and trimmed them down to fit, making sure to keep enough of the corner that gets peeled off so I could open the pack.Other tins have become home to straight pins, sewing needles (I've given up on pretending I'll organize those by size--I just look at the length, size of the eye, and pointiness of the tip), and some Surgeon's Secret moisturizer. It's a thicker balm and I only use a little at a time. These little tins are perfect for all those uses, and much better than the larger tins I normally use. Now I just have to label them so I don't have medication when I needed pins.
