Excellent to use, high quality, install tips
This is a very high quality, sturdy ironing board - it's German, so, of course, it's over engineered. Works perfectly in our fairly tight laundry room (see pics).Install tips:1) This is pretty heavy, so I don't recommend the drywall anchors supplied with the board. They have to be *perfectly* installed to not pull out of the wall; instead, I recommend (picture below) installing a board on the wall first into studs, and then attach the ironing board to that. The ironing board is too narrow to match 16" studs, so you could only get one side into a stud, so you could use drywall anchors on other side, but I don't recommend that.2) Take a piece of 11x14 paper and masking tape it over the mounting frame, and then lightly trace the mounting holes (for the top holes, make sure you trace the *small* part of the mounting holes) and edges of the entire frame onto the paper; also, make lines where the top of the ironing board is and the bottom of the ironing board frame, so you can tell how high to mount it. You will find it **much** easier and less frustrating to position the ironing board with this template. Use a level with the template, tape it to the wall/board, and then drill your pilot holes; remove template to install.3) A standard ironing board is 3 ft off the ground - use that as your reference for how high to mount the board.4) Install top screws 85% *first*, then you can hang the board on these with larger part of the mounting holes, then tighten them up, and then add the bottom screws.5) When drilling mounting holes, make sure the drill bit is 10% smaller than the *shaft* of the screw - not the threads.

Exceeds Expectations - Solid and Usable - My last ironing board
We bought this product over three years ago when we were renovating our house and I was organizing our master closet. I knew I wanted a wall-mounted ironing board but didn't have a lot of space for it. My solution was to mount the ironing board over the laundry hamper and it has worked out beautifully - see photos We didn't trust the plastic anchors supplies to mount it, so my husband cut a pine board to size, screwed the pine board into studs, painted the board to match the room, and attached the ironing board to the board. Solid as a rock. The ironing board itself is highly usable with the base rotating 90 degrees in either direction, but locking when I use it. It folds open and closed easily, and the cover is a nice thickness. The board size is big enough for blouses, dresses, and placemats without being too big. I've been truly delighted with how durable and well made it is. This is our last house so this is also my last ironing board. Sign me a happy camper.

I like it!
I looked at several different types of folding ironing boards for the new, small laundry room we put into our new home. (I had an Iron Away cabinet in my old master bathroom and really liked it, but there was not enough room for one in my new laundry room.) This one seemed to have the smallest profile and offers the ability to change its position in relation to the wall. I don't iron a lot, and have used this only a couple of times, but it seems to be quite sturdy. It folds up and down very smoothly and easily. It is exactly what I need and I'm quite happy with the purchase!

How to install ironing board
Very sturdy, well built product - would be 5 stars if not for the useless mounting hardware and installation directions. First, you dont need to pull the handle to open/lower the board. The pivot joints are very snug, so you just need a firm pull to open. Second, I do not recommend using the worthless wall anchors supplied. As mounting holes on the product do not span typical 16" wall stud separation, be sure to install at least one screw into a stud, and then use screw-in type drywall anchors (and screws with washers) for the remaining upper mounting holes. Third, be sure to install at least two screws (one into stud, other with screw-in drywall anchor) into the bottom holes. Easiest installation: Locate wall stud, mark a desired height, drill pilot hole, install provided screw leaving 1/4" from wall. Measure distance (think it was 8 3/4") between middle holes and mark in desired direction from first hole (make sure level!). Install drywall anchor and screw at second hole. Hang unit on 2 screws, and mark location of remaining mounting screws. Remove unit, install drywall anchors and screws (leave 1/4" on all screws/washers) and one bottom screw into stud. Mount unit on wall (make sure all washers on your side of unit) tighten screws. DONE!

THIS IS A GREAT IRONING BOARD!!!
this is a great item. It is durable and just what I needed. after lugging the huge ironing board that I have every time I had to do the pressing of garments this is so wonderfully easy to use. We put this up in our sewing room and it is always close by without taking up the precious floor space in that area. please be aware that this is a HEAVY bracket that is hung onto the wall. there must be studs behind the drywall to attach to. while the studs in our walls were too far apart we used a wooden board that was the length from stud to stud. the width was the exact measure of the ironing bracket. we marked every hole for the bracket before attaching the board to the wall. then we pilot drilled the holes. my husband used long screws to attach the wood board to the wall. then the ironing board to the wood board. it is sturdy and won't fall down. do not try to use molly bolts or anything of the like to attach this ironing board to the drywall. that wont work. drywall WITHOUT THE STUDS BEHIND IT is too weak to hold this ironing board. IT ISN'T AS HARD TO PUT UP AS THIS MAY SOUND. JUST MAKES YOU THINK IT IS. IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST 2 PEOPLE TO DO THE JOB.

Boards should NOT fold in the middle!
Bought it for the compactness and have used it for several years but never loved it. The fold in the board is a problem as it marks the clothes. I bought a second cover to try to fix the problem but it didn’t solve it. Finally, I purchased another wall hanging ironing board that does not fold in the middle. It was an expensive mistake.
