The TrendNet fiber converters are great! Much lower cost than some of the other brands while maintaining quality! We have fiber connections between all of our buildings and I use the TrendNet product at all of the locations. Only issue I have ever had with these is when they have gotten wet...........

I tried this item, real good for far, but it must work with 1G-base router or switch, 100M-base will not working, this is a good deal.

Upgrading our older 100Base fiber converters with Gigabit. These things are rock solid for a very affordable price. Wish it negotiated at 100mbit but we can only get it to connect with 1gbps on both sides. Not a deal breaker but know that going in.

I have been using these for a few years, I have them installed in the 16-Bay Fiber Converter Chassis System SNMP Management Module TFC-1600.Never had any issues with them. One thing to remember, with my Cisco switches I have to set the speed to 1GBPS because these will not run at 100MBPS and the Cisco switch set to auto negotiate starts at 100.

Exactly what I needed. A cost effective Fiber to Ethernet converter. Nice design, and no complications. Plug in and go.

It does what it says it does. But with network switches with optical SFP ports as low as $50, it really doesn't make sense to get a specialized product such as this.
