Neat little knife.
I haven't had the need to use this yet, but I have cut up some cardboard with it, just to check it out.No matter how small you think this is, it'll be smaller than you were expecting when you get in your hands. I have it hanging on my jacket's zipper pull and I don't even notice it. It's nice to know that I've got an emergency blade on me if I'm without my EDC (which isn't very often). I also have a little Victorinox on my keychain, so I doubt I'll ever have a real NEED for this, but it's still nice to know it's there. It's so small and so cheap, you can keep one in the tackle box, one in the glove box, one for the purse, one on your fall jacket, one on your winter coat, one on your pack or bookbag, give 'em away as cool little gifts...The blade is remarkably sturdy for something so small. It doesn't feel like a "toy" knife. The frame lock secures the blade beyond any fear of it closing on you. The blade also seats on a ball bearing when closed, so it's a little tough to open (long nails may break). The blade seats a little past the 90 degree point (seats, NOT locks) too, so you can hook your finger over the back of the blade to use as a pulling hook blade, rather than fully opening it to the locking position. Blade was pretty sharp, but don't expect to shave with it. The blade is also stout enough to use as a small pry tool (would have no risk of damage levering up the pull tab on a soup can, for example) although Gerber probably would say it's a cutting blade, not a pry tool. Still, for $7, who cares? You could even use the back of the blade as a small scraping tool. It's surprisingly comfortable and feels pretty good in the hand. You really get solid purchase on it. It doesn't "swim" in your hand, nor feel too small to be useful.I'd recommend this to anyone from homemaker to student to outdoorsperson. Great stocking stuffer.

Great little knife
My husband likes this little knife and keeps it in his bag. It's very compact and sleek unlike a usual pocket knife that is a bit bulky.

Good little handy knife for the price. More useful than I thought it would be.
This has been a handy little knife. I wasn't sure how handy this knife would be, but I've got a few of these little knives now on various outer clothing. When fishing I've found the Gerber GDC Zip Blade handier than trying to dig my pocket knife out for minor cutting tasks. I like the design as on the zipper pull, the knife often rides in the middle of my chest. The 2.26" blade length is handy for tough cutting jobs. When hunting I've found the Gerber GDC Zip Blade handy for pulling burrs out of my dog's feet and fur. The lock open feature is nice and handy. This little knife fits and feels secure enough in the hand well enough for even someone with big mitts like myself. For the price, it's a good value for the money and a decent little and handy knife. When folded and riding on my chest, I hardly notice the thickness of the knife or it's blade.

It’s handy, but tiny. I have already lost all of mine.
It’s a handy blade when you need. One in places for blades aren’t generally allowed. I would recommend attaching it to a zipper, or key ring, or necklace. They’re very easily lost.

Money Clip means Tote Purse clip
The Clip function makes this ideal to pop on the side of a tote purse. Easy access and fairly discreet. Most ppl think it's some sort of USB device.

Too heavy
Too heavy for its intended use!!! For such a small knife, this thing is surprisingly heavy. That might not bother most customers, but it makes the knife useless for me.However, on the positive side, this knife is built like a tank. It is solid! If you don't mind the weight, I think you'll be happy with this very small knife. This knife is designed to be worn on lanyard (as one option). But if it is swinging around on the end of a lanyard and it hits you in the wrong spot, it will cause serious pain due to its mass. Most of that mass resides in the pivot bolt. There's simply no reason for that, in my opinion. It does not add functionality or sturdiness to the knife. It makes it heavy for no reason.I found a knife I like much better:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EI0VVQThe Buck Knives 283 Nano Bantam Folding Pocket Knife has a better blade, a better form factor, and it weighs significantly less (only about 20 grams). It does not cost much more (maybe a dollar or two more, depending on the day on Amazon), but it is a far more functional knife and the light weight makes it far more versatile in my opinion.

handy, versatile pocket knife
Most of my adult life I have carried some kind of pocket knife. A pocket knife and a flashlight are two things that can make your everyday life so much easier and having one of each makes me better prepared at all times. When I need to open a package or cut a string or plastic tie, I want to be able to grab a sharp blade, use it, and put it away securely. Often I will already have my hands full at the time, so one-handed operation is important.I bought this money clip knife intending to use it for it's intended purpose, but soon discovered a variation that works much better for me. Instead of using it as a money clip, I use the clip to attach the kinife to my pants pocket. With the clip on the outside, the knife part is secure inside my pocket. I can access the knife by slipping my thumb inside the pocket, release the blade and remove it in one easy motion. The clip and the rest of the case stay in place. Replacing the blade after use is relatively easy also, though a little bit of practice makes that process go smoother. For putting the knife away, the blade needs to be lined up just right with the case. One important point needs to be stressed here: THIS IS NOT A SELF-DEFENCE KNIFE. I read some comments and questions here from people fantisizing about using this blade against attackers or to defend themselves. DON'T even think about it! It's not that kind of knife and it would never work for that. This knife will stay handy and secure in my pocket. When I need it, it is easy to withdraw and them put safely away. The blade was very sharp right out of the box but it stays put until I need it.
