Excelente Figura

RECOGNIZED ONE OF YOUR KNIGHTS
I'm TFcollect with another editorial review. And this is on the Unique Toys R-02 Challenger/Armored Knight Optimus Prime, from the movies A.O.E & TLK.Unique Toys has done it again. They've masterfully recreated a nearly perfect transformable movie accurate Optimus Prime. And I must tell you I dont know where to begin. He is marvelous in every way imaginable. So let me just begin with his assesories.ASSESSORIES. He comes with two headsculpts one with his blue eyes and one with red eyes and marked with the Quintessa tattoo so you can recapture Optimus as Nemesis. He also come with 4 faceplates that you swap out by simply tabbing them in place 2 of which has the tattoo battlemask and w/o Battlemask, the other 2 are Optimus Prive standard look with and without his battlemask. To swap out the heads, you lift up the head unit and unscrew it. You have to pull down his chest in order to get a good angle. I don't use the screw because his port is very tight. I just pop it out and replace. Then he has his signature Sword highly detailed with fantastic sculpting complete with Cybertronian lettering. Red and blue paint apps over a silver metallic grey coat. Its fabulously well crafted to the smallest detail. He also comes equipped with his wrist blade for close combat that we remember could've spelled bumblebees doom in the last knight. It's in drab metallic gray as well. Although it's not as detailed as his other accessories, it's still a nod to Unique Toys. And of course you have his Armored knights shield/cannon. Now his shield is absolutely gorgeous expertly designed and sculpted. Paint applications are on point and it has a bit of weight on it. It partially splits in half revealing the Gatlin styled cannons beneath it. It also has retractable post in which you use as his swords sheath. You can also attach his wrist blade onto it as well. It has a peg so you can either place it on his back or forearm. BUT....THATS NOT IT!!!He Also comes with bonus assesories. One of which is no other than Peru Kill/Lockdown's dagger, and it is made exceptionally well. Then theres Quintessa's staff. You get a miniature staff thats painted in silver, it's very small but UT still did due diligents in sculpting detail into it. It's not much...but it's truly the thought that count, and it counted here. Then you have his in scale Staff, in a dry metallic silver with the talisman symbol embossed on it sculpted with perfection. He comes with quite a few assesories and your heart will desire each one.ROBOT MODEHe is an absolute gem. It's a masterpiece above all else. He looks like he jumped off the scene. I've seen many prototype of this version of Optimus from a few other 3rd Party companies, Alienattack, BMB to name a few, but none has come close to Uniquetoys adaptation. He has smooth but tight ratchet joints at his shoulders and upper legs, thigh and shoulder and forearm rotation. He also has ab crunch and waist swivel. He's just bulky enough not overdone, nothing about his stature that is over the top. His coulderons dont pop off (AlienAttack) theyre very poseable and they are spring loaded as well as his hip guards. Now his paint apps in my opinion could've used a second coat to make him more vibrant even still it does the trick. His breastplate stands out on this figure giving him the look of battle tested leader, his bulk symbolizing strength and power. And as well as he looks from the front, he is a wonder from the back. Movie accuracy, you say? He has absolutely no back kibble and he has a bit of his spine exposed. His exhaust pipes are properly placed and at the very bottom, they turn to look as if they are coming out of his lower sides of his back.theres a peg hole for his shield in the center too. Strong bulky legs with plastic cables hanging from his upper thigh made of a durable plastic. His arms has really good articulation, forearms are brawlic with the red flames paint apps, wrist swivel and bend, finger articulation and thumb. Elbow cauldrons that also has a smidgen as well. His eyes are LEDs. From top to bottom, he is extraordinary, his overall sculpt, mode, detail, weapon and headsculpt assesories he is unmatched by far. But...he does have his flaws. The plate that his head rest on doesn't sit securely, so when you lift his head up the entire attachment will come up with it. His doesn't have really good leg articulation in regards to bend. You get way less than 90 degrees. His elbows, when you bend them there is a unsighting space between forearm and upper back arm that his coulderons are attached to. And what really burned my T-cog was his unpainted fingers. But, let me be clear all of the above mentioned flaws are all easily overlooked, strictly cosmetic. Except....his overall poseability. You will be hard pressed trying to pose him. Due to the design of his feet for purpose of transformation with his weight mass. His feet just are not stable enough for some extreme poses.TRANSFORMATION:Here is where UniqueToys stay true to the word "UNIQUE" they have again with witchcraft mechanics managed to make the most complexed designed transformers unbelievably simple to transform. This masterpiece literally is turned inside out to give you the most outstanding vehicle mode of the WesternStar Truck. Nothing, I mean nothing is complicated at all. A 6 year old can do this. Its smooth insanely enjoyable you will be spellbound. UniqueToys blew me away with Peru Kill. And they've done it again with Challenger. You will have to own it to believe it.ALT MODEThe WesternStar is a amazing truck, and UniqueToys captured it's TRUE beauty and brought it to life in a transforming action figure. Its eye popping and jaw dropping and just looking at it knowing that this was a robot just a few minutes ago will have thinking you're in another dimension. Fully painted in all of movie wonder with translucent headlights, rubber tires, silver paint apps on his tanks with working doors. It only has 2 minor flaws. He has a hinge on both sides of his truck sleeper cabin section that isnt painted. And his grill clashes with the silver paint on his front fender because the grill is chrome. That's it. Other than that, hes excellent. In closing....he is definitely a must have figure, a cant do without figure. He is the absolute best transformer I've ever seen or have ever collected. I was going nuts when his release date kept getting pushed back. I had him since September. I've been waiting for Amazon to get him so I can do my review on him. I'll tell you this....if you got it, and dont know where to spend it. Spend it on Uniquetoys R-02 Challenger. You will not regret it, but make sure when you purchase him that they will provide you with replacement parts if needed. There are reports of the pegs on the shield breaking off. And some breaking off and the peg being stuck in the peg hole. The batteries you're going to need for his LED head? I use Energizer 319s they fit perfectly and slide right in. 2 for each headpiece. Lastly I love this figure more than any other I have in my collection. He was a great purchase bar none. And i highly recommend him to any and every collector. And once you have him in hand, you will be forced to "Recognize one of your knights!'
