Dark Iron Fitness Leather Weight Lifting Wrist Wraps - Brace for Lifting

This is the third product I have purchased from Dark Iron Fitness (lifting belt and lifting straps). No surprise, the quality is great! After a couple months of using these wraps I have noticed no loss in velcro grip nor material degradation. The wrap is very comfortable and feels perfect when I lock in under the bar. An unintended consequence is the visual queues the strap lines/logo provide. I roll the bar when tucking for the press until I'm staring at the logo and it lines up my wrists near perfectly perpendicular to the bar every time.As for the material, the leather/suede is a couple millimeters thick and cinches around the wrist firmly. The contact points have one initial velcro grip, followed by mini-velcro strips that ensure no slippage.Overall, I'm VERY SATISFIED with these wrist wraps.

These "wrist wraps" are more like wrist braces that wrap, simply because of the level of support they provide. I have other types of wraps such as cloth/linen and elastic. Both of those are more comfortable than these, but, also less supportive. The leather is fairly thick (but not too thick) and after putting these on tight, your wrists might as well be wrapped in steel. No exaggeration. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 just because of the comfort issue but I haven't had them long, and they might become more comfortable after they're broken in a bit - kind of like a new weightlifting belt can be a bit stiff at first until you've used it for a while. Given the low price I am surprised how high quality the materials and construction are.

There is nothing to dislike about this product, at all. I got these for a single day in my workout routine - push/chest - and they have stood up to the abuse now for 3 heavy days. I had used the Harbinger gloves with a "wrist wrap" to them, and it simply doesn't provide the same level of support on those big pushes that I needed.These are very simple. Throw the thumb loop on, and wrap around your wrists going backward and outward first so it crosses the back of your wrist first. Wrap around the rest of the way until you run out of wrap and velcro that pig on. The leather locks into place with 0 give and incredible support. Plus, a big plus, the velcro doesn't fray and doens't come undone at all. Once you're locked in, you're locked. No need to adjust after each set.For both barbell benching and dumbbell benching, these are a must and you won't be disappointed.

In the past I used weightlifting gloves with built in wrist wraps. They have always provided support for my wrists but I still had pain. I had the opportunity to try these wrist wraps from Dark Iron Fitness. It is a completely different experience. My old wrist wraps were very stretchy and had a lot of give, which I believe in turn provided me with little support. The Dark Iron Fitness wraps are very solid with almost no give when trying to stretch them.My wrist is just over 7 1/2 inches around. The wrist straps are 3 inches wide and 18 inches long (before the velcro strap) . It is a perfect fit for me with plenty of room for much larger wrists.I am extremely satisfied with the amount of support it provides and the comfort as well. It holds my wrists in place and will definitely prevent unnecessary strain on the wrists.I have now donated my old gloves to the local gym and I plan to use these wraps in the future.Highly Recommended!!!!

I have had these wraps for about 2 months now. I workout everyday and usually lift pretty heavy (80% of one rep max), which makes good wrist wraps an imperative accessory in the gym for me. I use the wraps when I workout chest, arms and shoulders, which comprises 4 out of the 7 days of the week for me (in terms of usage). Let me start off by saying that these wraps have the best support I have experienced in my 10 years of working out. That being said however, about 1 month into using them, the Velcro on one of the wraps got bent upwards (picture) and now has a tendency to not want to hold when I wrap them. This is an issue since the wraps have come loose on several occasions during a set, which when lifting heavy weight is not ideal. Eventually the latter end of the Velcro for each strap just stopped sticking, and unless you wrap them tightly, like you should do prior to every set, then they will come loose. Today was the last straw for me and i just put them away mid workout and decided to write this review. I am very disappointed since I own and have been using the Dark Iron Fitness squat belt and love it, but frankly the Velcro on these wraps is not reliable. Buy at your own risk!

To provide some background: I have been lifting seriously for 3 years now. I do not compete or anything, but I am in the gym nearly every morning, so I know my way around the gym. This is the second Dark Iron Fitness product I've purchased (also own the lifting belt), and once again I'm impressed with the high quality of the product, as well as the price. I honestly never thought to buy wrist wraps for anything, but after using them this past week, I do not regret the purchase. They have been incredibly helpful on my bench and overhead press, specifically. I have small wrists for a man (seriously, they're smaller than my wife's), and I had absolutely no problem with these. They are very comfortable and easy to use. The leather leather and laces are good quality - didn't see any fraying or anything like that. On top of that, they look pretty cool. I would definitely recommend these, and will continue buying Dark Iron Fitness products in the future!

Las uso principalmente para cuando hago sentadillas ya que le da a mis muñecas un firmeza que ningún otro par de muñequeras me ha dado. No se adapta tan bien al contorno de mi mano-muñeca porque la piel es algo gruesa pero me da un excelente soporte . Se ven de una magnifica calidad tanto la piel, las costuras y el velcro. Ideal si requieres de un gran soporte en tus muñecas.

I'm happy with these well built, nice looking leather weight lifting writs wraps. I have rather small wrists and I needed help to avoid already done cartilage damage. These straps do the job very nicely. Love them.

Good stuff. Overall very helpful for the gym.
