Design Toscano Birdy Welcome Statue

Love this little welcoming bird statue. It is colorful, so it stands out wherever it is placed. It also looks great wherever I have placed it - and I have tried it in lots of different places so far. The statue itself is not particularly tall - only about 5 inches - so to really use it as a welcome sort of sign that is easily seen, it does need to be raised up from ground level. The actual lettering is about 1 1/4 inches in height. Its length is about 9 1/2 inches. It has some weight to it as well, so it will not be blown away on a windy day, though I would probably bring it inside if it was a hurricane being predicted or something of the sort, just to protect it from any damage that could occur from it getting hit by branches coming down or something else being blown into it. I suspect the durability of this small statue will be good, unless it fades from the sunlight. It is made from some kind of resin however, and is not cement, concrete or metal exclusively, so only time will tell. I will update this review if the colors do fade after several months of being exposed to the elements. This would make a wonderful housewarming or birthday gift, as it is so cute.

I love my little bird Welcome sign. It comes as pictured and looks perfect on my mantle in my living room. Good for any season with the winter cardinal and summer birds, but I use it in spring and summer.

The colors are very brilliant. It is very well-made. Will hold up well outside.

A little pricey for what it is IMO. It IS heavy and sturdy. I'm using it outside, it says it has an extra protective coating for outside, so we'll see. It is 10 inches long, as it states -- sometimes that's hard to visualize, though. I tend to like realism more than "cutesy" but overall I like this.

I love everything about this sign. This guy is truly an Artist and I have many of his animal statues. What I like best is they are so realistic and colorful. He has such a great variety and while you might think he is expensive, he isn't for what you get. This sign itself is on sale, so if you like it, grab it while it is. It is so inviting. I do wish there were a hole to hang just as an alternative. There was only one small smudge on the cheek of the bluejay. I'm going to fix it with a bit of white polish. This is definitely worth the money and on sale besides. I highly recommend this Welcome Sign.

I love the vivid colors and the design of this "Toscano Welcome Birdies" novelty. It's a nice size and will fit beautifully into any decor. It arrived packed very securely inside a stryrofoam cube and in a box. There was a small paint chip on one of the birds beak, but my black permanent marker fixed it perfectly. No problem! I just want to sing out for all the cuteness that this burdie novelty has. It's definitely a beloved favorite of mine. I highly recommend!...

Lovely piece with good detail. I got this in a warehouse deal at a great price and I am very happy. It is a good size and has good detail. It is well made and has a good finish. I have placed it in a large planter by our kitchen door and it looks great against the brown earth and green of the plant behind it. Visitor notice it and comment.

Because this is from Design Toscano, you know it's going to be quality. Shipped in a well packaged box, vibrant colours, good weight. Another to add to my collection from this great brand.

I don't know why I fell in love with this but I thought it was so cute and it didn't disappoint. I had it on a large log at the entrance to my wedding - it just made me feel warm inside. A nicely made item and well packaged.
