Great bike!!!
I am 67 year-old woman who put this bike together in less than half an hour and that includes reading instructions. Excellent bike easy to put together, and I am so excited to see my grandson’s face when he gets this for his birthday!

Perfect not “like new”!
There will be one surprisedAnd thrilled sweet little boy in a few minutes!! Purchased a “used” version for a 4 year. Cannot find a single flaw, everything looks shiny and new—tires new. Also with the adjustable handle and seat he will be able to use it for a long time. What a wonderful option for the budget TEN STARS. THANK YOU!!

Terrible out of the box, Great with some TLC
I took a chance on this bike for my 4-year-old after reading some widely mixed reviews, but it was so cheap that I gave it a go (mine did not have the front wheel issue that others have described.) Make no mistake: right out of the box this thing is terrible. If you have zero mechanical comfort then take a hard pass. However, the bones are not bad, it is just like when they were assembling it they gave some people who have never ridden a bike some wrenches and said "tighten everything up as much as you can." That's a great idea when building a deck, not so much when assembling a bike. +1 to all those who described super-tight wheel bearings. Mine were so tight they almost didn't spin and if I put them on as-is they would be worn out in a month. The fork was also so tight the thing creaked and grinded whenever it moved. Chain was also so taught I thought the thing was going to pop if my boy actually started riding.So...why four stars? I am very comfortable with bike mechanics so I took the whole thing apart, regreased all bearings (factory grease looked like it came off a Thanksgiving turkey) and reassembled properly. Now that big yellow banana can rip like hot fire and my boy has a big old goofy grin on his face. It's really not a bad bike.Takeaway: you are looking at a $60 kids bike and not a $200 kids bike for a very logical reason...your kid is going to grow up. But the difference between any $60 bike and $200 bike is going to be huge, and this thing is proof positive for that. It's not hard to make any bike run well (things should be tight enough that they don't fall off, not so tight that other things can't move...) but for the safety of your kids, if you don't know how to do that then definitely fork out the extra cash to pay a reputable company like Trek to do it for you. If you're cool with that, then by all means save the cash but kill some time making this baby purr, because it definitely can.
