Microware iScan Portable Mini Cordless A4 Scan 900DPI Document Book Handheld Scanner

I am a research scholar studying for my PhD degree. I believed this rather expensive hand-held scanner will help me to collect research material. Given below are my concerns with this product.1. The process of entering time / date is so cumbersome and complicated, that I gave up.2. The description of the LED light which is supposed to provide scanning indicator , and the LCD display are all not clear and confusing.3. After connecting to my laptop, it is not detecting the Iscan !4. During scanning, the green light goes off immdtly on starting the scan.5. I have loaded the batteries, and also the 32 GB SD card; now how do I read the contents of the scan that I did of a few pages of a book just to test the devise ? Are you saying I have to now buy a card reader for the same ?

I could vomlete digitalising all my old photo albums folderwise and load it in the Google server. Better to use rechargeable batteries for long life. Nice and fast scanner.
