Its super easy to follow the book. It will make you a good gun Smith at least with takedown and reasably.

Covers nearly all the designs of actions available with today's shotguns and a few antiques still in service today. I've rated it with 4 stars as I found some of the descriptions did not include all the information I felt necessary. However, with a little mechanical knowledge or gunsmithing experience the missing information could be determined. Has great information on reassembly and notes on what to look for during reassembly.

Very helpful with dis-re-assembling a 1910 model 97 Winchester.

I WAS DISSAPPOINTED IN THAT some of the older shotguns were excluded or reported incorrectly like the western field and the model 31 remington.i have a lot of those come into the shop this is one of the reasons why i bought it.

Very helpful book for disassembling my Remington model 17. Although that model isn't listed, the Ithaca 17 is and is almost identical.

Like it, however not complex. Just a minor suggestion: As a novice some of the pictures are not easy to understand, youtube is your friend in this case. A video library link of all the guns/methods featured in the book would be awesome.

If you maintain your own stuff,books like this are worth their weight in gold.This one has clear instructions and good photos.

A good reference book. I like the photos along with the text for disassembly/ assembly. The tools required section is of good value.
