I’m a wildlife rehabber and get bitten and scratched a lot. These gloves offer superb protection, but it’s at a cost - they are so thick and stiff that my dexterity is greatly hampered. For instance, I have to take one off to work the latch on a carrier. Another problem is that the wrist is looser than the hand, making it difficult to keep the gloves from working their way off when I’m wearing them. I’m going to try to install some elastic or a drawstring to make them more secure. I do like how far the gloves go up my arm - over my elbows on the bottom. Also, the drawstring enabling one to tighten the gloves toward the elbow is nice - otherwise they would be impossible to keep on. Nice gloves, and I guess there is no way to make them thinner and more pliable without sacrificing protection, which is my first priority.

I ordered these gloves to wear while treating an African grey parrot with plucking and skin problems. And if you know anything about these parrots then you know they can inflict some serious injuries. These gloves have not dissapointed. They are very soft, andI can handle him gently and calmly because I know he cannot bite thru. I wish they would make a small for womens hand as these are a little big for me.

Excellent for when handling dogs that like to scratch.
