Not a Solar Device
I have tried several times to charge this power bank using the solar feature without success. It does hold a charge for a long time after charging from a different power source and the light is very bright. The other drawbacks for travel are the weight and size.It is a great backup power source for USB devices around the home.

Dead after 3 uses.
I like the construction and everything else about it but if it doesn't work, meaning won't charge up at all after 3 uses, it is totally useless.

Handy for traveling and touring
My husband and I recently got back from our land/water tour of Panama and found this charger to be a great rescue in charging our smartphones (mainly mine) while traveling in the motor coach for our day tours. I used my smartphone for mainly taking videos of the places we visited and the heavy video recording easily drains the phone battery to a critical low level. Having the CXLiy charger to charge my phone while it sits idle in my bag during the bus trip is a great relief giving me peace of mind that my phone will be charged adequately for the next video recording or photos.

Good charger. Solar panel is useless
It works well as a charger but the solar cell is useless for recharging the device. I left it in bright sun for 2 days and it still had 2 of the leds blinking indicating it didn’t recharge at all. so it’s pretty much useless for camping and hiking in the wilderness if you don’t have access to a power source to recharge it

Not what it appears
Solar charging is in bright sun between 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (from manufacturer), otherwise charge via PC or wall charger. Heavy

Excellent solar charger!
This charger works as advertised. I begin by topping off the bank via outlet. But leave it on my dashboard of the car otherwise. Most of the time, my car is in the garage. But whenever I do need it, the charger is mostly full of charge! Days/weeks of not being used or plugged into an outlet.I use this mainly on vacation or when I use my devices intensely away from home. It recharges almost 5 devices before being drained. iPad Pro, ipad 4, iPhone 7plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5. 5th device is about 80% recharged. This is based on us normally recharging overnight having used them all day. I then plug it in to recharge the bank to full while away for the day. If I am traveling alone, I don’t need to plug into an outlet for a couple days. This means I recharge my iPad Pro and iPhone 7plus overnight for a couple nights with only solar. I’ve never tried to see how long I can go on just solar. I’m guessing that varies based on how strong and how long the sun shines.I seem to be able to charge the bank and my phone at once. So, that’s helpful. And the 2.1amp ports are wonderful! At least 2 devices get the faster charging port.It doesn’t seem to be particularly durable. But I’ve also not had an issue. With normal care, it seems fine.I like this so much, I purchased another for a friend. My friend does use it based on solar regularly. Loves it! But once it drops on to pavement on a cold wonter’s day, it broke. That said, my friend is buying the same charger to replace the broken one. So, definitely recommend this one!
