I bought this to use as a photo prop for baby blankets - but I've used it as a laundry basket also. It's very well made and looks exactly like the photos.

I liked the price and, as always, the quick turn-around and having it quickly. It is a little less sturdy than I had hoped but maybe it will prove to be more sturdy than thought. Happy with the product given the cost.

I ordered these baskets to fill with goodies for Christmas for employees. They are smaller than a traditional laundry basket but served the purpose very well. They look nice and the linen liner is a nice touch. I don't know how well they would hold up being actually used for laundry, but I use one to hold my crochet projects. I have everything in one place and it looks nice in the living room. I believe this basket would be better when used as a decorative item as opposed to being used to haul laundry around. It seems as if the handles would fail.

I don’t know about durability or longevity, but I love using these for baby showers and filling them with onesies and bottles and things from the baby registry. I wrap it all up in cellophane and it’s always a unique gift for the mom. If I had to give a quick assessment of use after that, I can see it durable enough to be a laundry basket for baby clothes, but I would put stock in using it for bulky items like towels…just my perspective! Was perfect for what I purchased it for!

I like the color and the shape. The inside cover fits great. However, it does not stand up to every day use. The pieces of wood weave started to break and fray within a year's time. However, I liked it so much and it's originality that I bought another one. What does that say? A little on the expensive side.

It is small, but that is what I wanted. I have this basket in the corner of my bedroom, and it matches my décor perfectly! It is just large enough to put one day's worth of dirty clothes in it. I have a larger, sectioned hamper in the laundry room into which I sort from this basket. This basket is not designed to hold much laundry, but it is a convenient size to have in a bathroom or bedroom and then carry to the laundry room. Do beware that the basket did not come wrapped in any plastic and I, too, like another reviewer mentioned, almost lost it because the box was delivered on a rainy day and left outside. Thankfully, I was home in time to save it! A soggy delivery box would have ruined the contents so make sure to check the weather forecast on the day of delivery!

OK, if you read through these reviews and are stumped by why some people love these baskets and others absolutely hate them, here's one possibility—the quality varies widely. I ordered three. Two came in one package, one came separately. The single one was really beautiful. Nice, large, sturdy basket, nice variation in color. I want them for storage and they are large enough to fit a large, overstuffed adult's backpack with a few men's shoes thrown in. The liner was ok, pretty thin, flimsy muslin, nothing to write home about, but I wasn't using it, so no big deal. The other two baskets came and looked like they were coated in oil which dried. They are one single dark brown shiny color, not the natural varied color that many nice baskets have, and the coating of paint or polish or whatever makes them look painted. There's nothing "natural looking" about them. They might as well be ugly brown plastic. But the worst thing is they smell absolutely foul and disgusting. When I took them out of the box my son was choking from the odor. I made the decision to keep the one nice one, and ask Amazon to replace the two. So I put the two stinky ones outside in a covered vestibule while I waited for them to be picked up. I have to say the odor subsided a lot within a day or so, although I'm not sure if I'd have been able to keep them in the house, not sure if the smell had gone away enough for that. I ended up shipping them back the next day, and reordered, after spending way too much time on the phone with Amazon customer service, making if very clear that I wanted replacements more like the one nice one, not like the two smelly ones. The person I got at customer service, was very sweet but absolutely useless, and clearly didn't understand what I was saying. Thanks for the useless customer service, Amazon! And of course the replacements they sent were both two more of the foul-smelling, ugly ones. The Replacements STINK! (Being a fan of '80s indie American music, I just had to write that!) Now, I may keep them because I really don't want to deal with Amazon and because I was thinking I might want to paint them anyway, and that would hopefully seal them a bit. I have to say I would not use these with my clothes or towels—anything I'd put next to my skin. Certainly not baby toys or anything for a little kid. They are truly horrible smelling, and I wouldn't want whatever chemical is smelling so bad next to my clothes. If they could guarantee the nice baskets, it would be great, but I've gotten five of these so far, and 4 of them were truly disgusting! So be forewarned. You're most likely going to get the disgusting, horrible, ones, so you might be better off buying something else!!!!!!!

I was delighted when this arrived! My bathroom is a very weird design....a clothes hamper would have worked ok, but wasn't really the look I was going for. I had read the dimensions before ordering, and this was spot on. The width is great, and I love that it's somewhat narrow, with added height.I'm married and we have a hamper in the laundry area, but this is a nice addition to my bathroom. I won't be moving it from bath to laundry, so I won't have to worry with the handles being comfortable or strong enough. Even with it sitting empty, it's a nice addition.It seems to be very well made. I don't see any loose stitches or stray threads. I can see plenty of uses for this basket, other than laundry. I'm a new grandmother, and would consider putting one of these in my living room for diapers, blankets, teething rings, etc.It's a very nice basket that I would highly recommend for gentle use. I don't know how much weight or heavy duty use it would withstand. Probably more than I'm giving it credit for.
