Perfect for my 5 year old
We purchased this for my 5 year old son for Christmas. I love that it is retractable for easy storage and he loves the little tackle box that is just his size.

Line snags within reel
We ordered two of these. One is working fine, however the other has a snag. It catches within the reel after a few feet of line, then snags repetitively with each revolution. It is not possible to cast. I am hoping the manufacturer can resolve this issue. Happy to update review with manufacturer's favorable response.Thank you

We like that lures
We got this for our six year old grandson. He loves it. We like that lures, floats and other fishing items were included. Very impressed with the warranty.

If you don't need a compact pole, dont get this.
I like the collapsible pole feature, but it pulls apart too easily. The reel drag seems to loosen up by itself real easy. My 4yo likes this pole and can fish just fine with it. If you don't need the collapsible pole, skip this one.

overall good
Worked well for my 9 yr old this summer to catch her first small mouth bass. She did break the tip off the pole hitting it on the dock frustrated at a tangle. She still loves it.

Gone Fishing
Kid was so excited because he recently caught his first blue channel catfish with my rod. Now he has his own tackle, rod&reel!

Great kids gift
Smaller than expected but it's for my 11 year old step daughter who is getting into fishing more. Let's hope it's not cheap lol
