Good for beginners.

The pieces are definitely melodious and explore different styles and rhythms. I do not see a reason why a beginner should not enjoy learning with this book. However, it should not be the only book for any serious pursuer of the violin. One has to start on etudes and technique books as soon as possible and put in lots of hours on those.
