stratus24 Bottle (Opaque Cap)

Great water bottle system.After you get used to it, easy on, easy off. Takes up very little space too.I had my first 24 oz bottle fall off a few times going over railroad trackswhen I first got it, but I learned to be a little more gentle on those specifictracks I've been fine ever since.Also, the smaller 20 oz bottles never fall off.

Having raced mountain bikes for years I was interested in keeping my new mountain bike lite and decided to give this product a try. I've been using it now for 10+ rides and it holds tight, no bottle detaching issues. The release and reattachment requires some getting used to but once you practice with it for a ride or so it goes back into the slot w/o looking. The bottle itself is actually pretty cool too b/c it does not have the pull top on it, making getting to the h2o that much faster.Worth the $$'s and the cool factor is pretty high tooChris

I compared this product side by side with an Arundel Mandible waterbottle cage in my road bike. I got two sets as presents from my girlfriend. First bumb on the road and the Stratus 24 Vincero bottle went airborne. I tried both down tube and seat tube fitting with no luck. Only when the Vincero bottle was empty it remained in place...... Looks really nice on a standing still bicycle but this system is not ready for cyclist that actually ride their bikes.

I've got this system on my road bike. I've been using it for about a month now on my ride to work. The bottle attaches to the bracket through a magnet and a slight wedge which keeps it from popping off.Pros: Really like the bottles. Doesn't have a nipple that you need to pull out with your teeth. All that's required is a little squeeze of the bottle. Very quick and easy motion to grab and replace the bottle in its bracket, although this takes some getting used to (after a week of use I didn't give it a second thought). Really light weight.Cons: Requires the special bottle from Vincero so all the free bottles you get on your organized rides stay at home.Never tried this system on a rough mtn bike trail but I've heard from friends that it works fine.Overall I think it's a nice improvement over the standard bracket/bottle system. I'm going to keep using it and plan to give it a try on my mtn bike as well.
