Makes the transition if that's what it takes!
Needed this little beauty to connect ordinary headphones to my phone, not sure why, however I needed the extra fitting for my phone to acknowledge it, other phones had no problem with ordinary headphones but this new phone needed this adaptor.

Doesn’t work with iPhone 11
Does not work with iPhone 11 or latest iPad. They both see it still as headphone out

"Allows you to connect your standard TRS (3-pole) 3.5mm microphone to your TRRS (4-pole) smartphone" - Nope. Does not work with iPhone 6s. This iPhone 6s did work fine with both standard Apple wired mic/headphones, as well as a Rhodes Smartlavplus, which already has a TRRS 3.5mm output built-in.

Problem with Sound Volume
I used this cable to connect a TRS 3.5mm plug to a Rode SC6-L adapter, which has two TRRS inputs. The sound volume was barely audible indicating a large resistance in this cable somehow. I can't use it.
