Can I use warm water in the tank?

Warm water is fine in the tank. Please do not use hot water.

Is it safe to transport on it's side, just too tall to fit in my hatchback

Yes that would be fine, the machine can be easily broken down in seconds into 3 pieces which would make it easy to place in a car.
