I do a lot of distance driving, and I also recently had to take a couple of cross continental flights. All of the sitting usually leaves my body in so much pain, I had come to dread travel and even vacations. On normal seats, the pain radiates out of my gluteal muscles and down my legs, and ultimately up through my back and shoulders within a couple of hours. By the time I get where I'm going, I could cry because the pain is so bad, and as a result I end up in a bad mood. Not a great way to arrive at your destination! This pillow works so great, that even though I don't love all the sitting, travel has become virtually pain-free. I was astonished to get out of my car and off the plane with no pain at all! Maybe a little stiff from the confinement, but the difference in my energy level and mood was OUTSTANDING. I even bought one for my brother when I realized he had similar pain from long drives as well. I will say that when I use it in the car, I feel like it boosts me up really high (my brother said the same thing), but I think over time the cushion has compressed, or maybe I just don't notice the height difference because I feel so hood. You will have to adjust your mirrors and your seat, and it takes a little getting used to, but it's worth the effort.

I bought this to take to sewing retreats because they always seem to have hard seats. I was not too sure about it because it is small and not really soft to the touch. I have been really happy with how well it works and have been using it in my car as well. It's not perfect for relief of pain, but is convenient and costs less than bigger options(so convenient to take with me and fits into a tote bag).

I read a few reviews for this pillow stating that it helped tailbone pain. I have absolutely no idea how it would have done that! I have Coccydynia (which more or less means chronic tailbone pain) and this pillow really REALLY hurt me. Sitting on this felt like it put MORE pressure on my tailbone, which is pretty much exactly what it was doing. I had a feeling I should have gone with one of the coccyx cushions, but figured I would give this a try first. A coccyx cushion has a V-shaped cutout on the back which allows the tailbone to "float" with no pressure on it at all. How does this donut shaped pillow NOT put pressure on the tailbone?? Next time I will trust my instincts. This is being returned tomorrow. As for the overall quality of the product, it seemed ok, for the price. Which is why I gave it a neutral 3 star rating. It was very firm, which I personally consider to be a good thing, as it doesn't just flatten into nothingness the moment you sit on it.

When I sat on the cushion it flattened down to less than half an inch which provided the same amount of support as a soft pillow and not the specific amount of support in specific areas that one expects from a product made to alleviate pressure on the tail bone etc... since no matter how you sit on it the support is everywhere just like it would be if you weren't using this cushion at all. Other reviews seem to be complaining about this item being too stiff. I wish that was the case. I would have been happy with that. I assume that they are selling very different cushions under this same listing? So it is hard to know what to expect. I'll add that I am not particularly over weight. I'm about 190 pounds and over 6 feet tall. I can actually squeeze the cushion down to half an inch using just two fingers and not really trying. I expect even a child would have the same difficulty with this product.

One of the other reviewers explained that they were using this for an exercise program called "Essentrics". And I'm SO thankful they did because I was looking for this pillow for the very same thing! Used it for the first time today and it made SUCH a difference. Pillow is a good size and just the right amount of firmness/support. Has a really nice, machine washable cover. Required a little effort to get it out and back into the cover "just so", but the benefit was well worth it!!! SO happy I bought this pillow!

I purchased this for someone else and the only thing I can say is they thought it was quite firm but comfortable.

I having a job that makes me sit for hours whole day, and being a hemorrhoids patients. this cushion has helped me a lot relieve my pain which was unbearable. I have used this cushion on a 13 hour long drive and it was totally worth it. the shape of the cushion may change after usage but it get back to original shape as soon as you leave it for a while. The cover fabric material is soft and comfortable too. Highly recommend to people who do jobs like me and who do a lot of highway driving.

I wish I didn’t need this , but due to a tail bone injury I could need it for life . The price is much less then in health stores, now I have one on every chair
