Leaves of the Chinese amaranth are high in protein and although nutritionally similar to beets, Swiss chard and spinach, they are actually far superior. For example, Chinese amaranth leaves contain three times the amount of both calcium and niacin (vitamin B3) compared to regular spinach leaves. Young leaves and stems can be harvested periodically for a long time during the growth. This vegetable is very popular in Chinatown and Southern Asia. Chinese and Vietnamese use this vegetable for stir-fry and soup

Surprised & happy for potent seeds
These seeds are potent. I scattered a few onto a pot and got a whole lot of sprouts. First I tried planting a fee on a temporary pot indoors mid April just for trial, but only 1 or 2 grew. By May I scattered more on a pot outdoors and they all sprouted. Pictures are attached. I kept the temporary pot outdoors too and the seeds on them also started sprouting in bunches. I replanted a few and am looking to replant more. Not sure of how big they'll grow or the taste of it. But I'm happy with the purchase, they shipped it to me quickly to USA. Thank you.

horrible product, not as seen in photo
Horrible! Tried indoor and outside in good soil but failed. Only two tiny leaves come out on hair like stem, very very delicate and then dies. Tried multiple times including warm temperature. Waste of time, money and effort.
