A necessary addition to a blink system if two separate arm-able zones are required. Works seamlessly and exceptionally easy to install.

I got the sync module 2 after having my blink doorbell and blink mini for over a year. Previously had the blink subscription but didn’t particularly want to pay for another year, so purchased this instead as a money saving option. It was super easy to set up, and is fairly neat and compact in size. If you want the app to save clips, you need to plug a USB into the module. Doesn’t need to be a fancy or special USB, if you have an old one hiding in a drawer somewhere, that’ll do. The module only needs power which can be via plug socket or USB cable (both included in the box) and can be put anywhere in the home as long as it’s got wifi connection. I can now do live view on the doorbell which I couldn’t do before on the blink subscription as my doorbell runs on battery not mains. So that’s a nice bonus. Hilariously, blink/amazon have added a delay from you clicking on a clip in the app to watch to when it loads, claiming it takes longer to load from USB which is honestly ridiculous in this day and age - I imagine they’ve done this to try and get you to use the cloud annual subscription instead which is very naughty of them. I’m not bothered about the clip loading delay but can see how it might frustrate people, especially if you’ve gone from cloud storage (via the subscription) to local storage (via the module). My only negative is that the module has annoyingly bright blue and green lights on them which is so unnecessary. If you set it up in a room where someone with light sensitivity sleeps, you may want to keep it upside down or get some of those stickers that block the lights.

IF like me you've changed your home router and now find you can't re-connect to Blink with the new one ( A common problem ). Then, if you've got the mk1 version, the only way round it I found was to buy a mk2 module. It worked thankfully, otherwise it would have meant the whole system would have been redundant. Not too happy about shelling out another £35ish, but so far so good. With hindsight I wouldn't use Blink again, but with the Module, 3 cameras and a doorbell, it not exactly cheap to just consign to the scrapheap. Hope this helps some of you out there. I know there's a lot of flak going around because of this....... PS. IF the mk 2 didn't work, I'd have been able to return it and get my money back. A gamble, but it paid off for me

Great module to use as local storage rather than paying for cloud storage. Works well. Easy to use. Great design. Great value for money.
