Works well and so far seems trouble free and stable. The adjustable length locking system works well and the overall finish is good. Excellent item.

item was delivered broken, but customer service was prompt and courteous at replacing it. Product seems poor quality considering the price. The hook part is made from plastic (this was the part that was broken) and doesn't seems very durable. Will have to see. In my opinion these opening poles should be given away free with any purchase of sky lights - how else are you supposed to open them!

I have recently had skylights put into my kitchen so ordered the pole to open and close the windows. I ordered the pole at the end of May, but due to a delay in the building work have only just started to use the pole. In truth it is about as far as being fit for purpose as it could be. The pole extends but does not lock thus making it useless when trying of open or shut the skylights. The pole is made of lightweight material,and very flimsy and certainly does not justify the £32 that I paid for it. Due to the delay in buying it and eventually using it the warranty period has expired and although I have tried to contact Keylite, to date they have not responded. In my view this is just cheap rubbish so buy at your own peril.

Well.... I got the Keylite pole rather than going for cheaper ones because I thought perhaps others wouldn't work properly with Keylite windows and that this pole would have properties which would be worth paying more for. In fact I think other non-Keylite poles would have been fine, and far less expensive. The pole is telescopic and when screwed into its long position doesn't always hold very well. I don't know if I just haven't got the knack but I've found it incredibly awkward to use and the little bit that sticks out on the top of the 'hook' seems to make it more difficult rather than easier to use. We don't have blinds, just windows (- perhaps if you have blinds as well there would be reason for getting a Keylite pole??). I felt pretty ripped off given that far cheaper poles would have worked just as well. As it is, I hardly use the pole and climb on a chair to open and close the windows - less safe I suppose but so much easier. (The windows, incidentally, are excellent and we're very pleased with them).

Pole was dispatched and received promptly. Sturdy, lightweight and easy to extend. The odd bit of the plastic on the rear of the hook impeded the hook from grabbing the opening bar of my Velux window to open it easily. The bar would not close properly unless I removed the pole & hook and the pushed it closed using the top of the hook. Once this odd bit was removed, using a hacksaw, I could then use it as intended although the hook could be improved further for me if it curved over further - it can slip off the bar too easily.

First class customer service and great product. The initial pole arrived bent and therefore not extendable so notified via amazon and replacement arrived two days later and was perfect and better packaged! Great quality product and easy to use.
