As far as I can tell, this is the best case/hard shell for the Ally X. It’s solid, the stand holds fast, and the hard shell protects the screen, triggers, and the sticks and even fits over my silicon stick toppers. You can even use the skull & co. Back button caps with the case on. This specific combo has made the Ally X as perfect a handheld as I could hope. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this grip/case! It’s more affordable than some competitors while delivering an almost identical experience. This is the first grip I’ve used on a handheld that doubles as a case (with the protective cover), and I feel completely confident tossing it into a backpack or leaving it out, knowing my device is fully protected. One feature I particularly appreciate is the hardshell protective case’s raised design over the joysticks, which prevents damage. That’s always been my biggest concern with soft cases and even some hard cases. The grip feels great in the hands, fits snugly around the ROG Ally, and the adjustable kickstand is a fantastic bonus. It’s been incredibly useful for propping up the device on my bed during installs and updates. Overall, this is a 5-star product!

Bought this because I needed a good case for my new Ally X. I have the Dbrand Killswitch case for my original Ally, it's great, and definitely feels like a premium product, but $70+ for a case is a lot. I saw this and loved the fact that it included a battery mount so I decided, it's less than half the price of the killswitch, let's try it. And to my surprise, the experience is almost identical to the killswitch case and in some cases, I actually like this better. It fits great, easy to install, and if you're like me and want your Ally to stand out a bit, you can still install the Dbrand skins and use this case with them, best of both worlds. I wish the battery mount held a little more firm, I use some pretty large power banks, and I find that if I tilt the Ally sideways, the power bank slides right off. Not a huge deal, you just have to be conscious of it when using the battery mount. Paired this with a Dbrand skin and a Jsaux anti glare screen protector and my Ally X never looked better.

Works as intended for rog ally x. It was easy to install just take your time. Cooling fans with rgb do have a little noise but it doesn’t matter while wearing headphones. It fits snug onto my rog ally x and with the hard shell on, it doesn’t shake around, it’s secure. I was hesitant on buying this based on previous reviews but I bought it anyway because people be lying and it’s best to test myself. I am doing this review for other’s to know this work perfectly and you won’t want to remove it. It helps with gripping handheld so it doesn’t slip out your hands. Just slide the fan onto the case. You need the case for the fans to be attached and work. It also comes with a backup battery clip. You won’t regret buying this.

I’ve had this almost a year now and travel with my Ally constantly and it is in perfect shape. Great quality and not bulky in my opinion, but I’d rather my products be protected and bulky than break. Really easy to put on and take off. Highly recommend

It was good, I had to use a knife and diy slice both sides shorter so I could more easily drop the rog ally x in it without putting force on it since the case is made too tightly and if I want to ever clean out the dust I want to make it easier which I did but yeah 4/5 stars due to this, I didn't try the top cover as I bought thinb grips that raise up since default thumbs sticks are way too low and it won't fit it now so I won't take a star away due to that. It seems very durable and lightweight, had to use a super sharp knife to even be able to slice it as scissors couldn't penetrate the material, that's how strong it is :). Oh and it fits the device with no gaps and no bad cutouts everything is aligned perfectly.

Didn't use the extra little things, but the case and cover work great for the Asus Rog. Protects the controllers to keep them clean and safe. Cover snaps on kind of hard, but that's probably a good thing so it doesn't pop off when in a bag or something. Sturdy and well made.
