OK for the technically inclined
If you order this, prepare for some fiddling.I came in with low expectations for this device. It's a mystery brand device, purporting very wide compatibility with a lot of different devices. And I have a lot of different types of devices I want to occasionally connect to my TV, including Windows, MacOS, and Android devices. My modest expectations have been met, but not exceeded.First of all, expect a fair amount of fiddling to get this device up and running. It has "instructions", but they're either wrong or incomplete for every device I own. In addition, the first time I connected to it with my phone, it immediately went forward with a firmware update that took a while and further changed up the instructions.Once I got it connected to my local network, and the firmware updated, it has operated very well as wireless screen share target for both my Windows and Mac OS computers. It shows up where you'd expect for both devices, presenting as a wireless display. Once connected, it has stayed stable and connected, even for hours at a time. I have used it, for example, to play videos for my toddler from a laptop to the TV seamlessly. In the above scenario, it also automatically uses the TV for audio output, both on Windows 10 and Mac OS Monterrey.Unfortunately, I have NOT had success with my Android 14 phone. Android sees the device as a screen cast target, but simply does not ever successfully connect. I'm sure there's a technical deep dive that could get it working, but I shouldn't have to.Another small niggle I have - the included USB cable has an integral antenna for WiFi support. However, it's short. If you don't have a power source immediately next to your TV, expect to need a USB extension cable (or regular extension cord) to reach.Overall I can say that this works very well with PC and Macs, but I can't vouch for it's Android support. But when it does work, it works well.I think given the price and expectations, this is an OK device. But be prepared for a little setup legwork.

Easy Setup, Works with Airplay
I was surprised this worked as well as it did. I connected it to my TV and I had to find a USBA 5V 2 Amp power supply. Luckily I had one in hand as this doesn’t come with a power brick. You connect to it directly via Wifi and once connected you can put your Wifi SSID and Password on it and it will connect to your local network.I tested this with an iPhone, Mac and iPad and all worked great. Airplay mirroring worked fine and on my iPhone and iPad. I could do the same with my Mac and was also able to use my TV as a second screen. I was really happy how it all worked and how sound was also coming from my TV. For the price and how well it works, it is a great way to have Airplay without an Apple TV or paying a subscription for an app.
