The Buddha Board Box: Master the Art of Letting Go Toy – November 3, 2009

I love Buddha Boards! I own one of the large ones, and I've given the large and the mini as gifts. I saw this gift set for a good price and decided to get it. Well, the description is accurate. I didn't read it closely enough, though. The box is just a cardboard box with a slot in the back where you can place the small Buddha Board. I would not use it - it takes up a lot of room for such a small board. The water reservoir is simply an indentation in the plastic insert that holds water. I haven't read the booklet, since that wasn't really my interest.Go for the regular or the mini, they really are a lot of fun as well as contemplative.The seller did a fine job, it's the product that I don't care for.

I played with one of these in the store and realize how much cheaper it was on Amazon. Ordered it and its of good quality. I use it to write down things that are bothering me before I head to bed. It helps me to clear my thoughts, especially when I don't get time to meditate during the day. Its a good way to let things go.This is also a good toy for kids to play with. They love to draw and watch it disappear.

THIS IS GREAT for someone stuck in the sickbed or anybody who wants to DOODLE...they give you a flimsy brush but you can buy a decent one for a buck or two, it works ok...you just doodle with clean water and a few seconds go by, it fades as the water evaporates,giving you a clean board, and you paint another doodle with the brush....supposed to be relaxing and it is, like ZEN.

I should have spent a little more money and purchased one a little nicer, better quality. Would not purchase again. I ordered three as gifts and I still have two sitting here because I wont give them to anyone due to the poor quality.

fun little set...just buying the "budda board" would be enough though. But I love finger cymbals. (says wife).

Great Mini Buddha Board .Overall good for kids,I would prefer the larger one but te price was great

Very disappointing. I ordered the first set, and it was clearly opened and the paint brush, water well, and a cymbal missing. I ordered a replacement set, and it was also open with the water well and a cymbal missing. I can't even combine them to make a full set. Both were listed in new condition.

I really wish the board was bigger and the brush kinda sucks

This was a fun intro to the zen painting. Unfortunately it has more down points than poitives.1) The board is small ( similar to the new mini's, but without the stand/water holder ) you have to use the box lid, but that is not ideal.2) The mini cymbols are fun, but keep them away from kids as the red cord easily comes out.3) The book is ok.Result - if you have space, buy the Original Buddha Board. If you want to travel with it, buy the Buddha Board Mini

I love the concept of this product and plan on giving this as a gift, but I was disappointed when I opened my package to find the contents thrown all over the place. I feel like I got a floor model or something (even though I did buy new) there were little stickers to keep the box closed but they had clearly been opened and the sticky parts were filthy as though my set had been used and open for some time. That being said, I'm more upset about that because I am gifting this set, it didn't effect the quality of the things inside.To people who were upset at the size of the board - they give you the dimensions it should be no surprise. The larger Buddha board is always an option and if my recipient likes this set I'll get her a more adequately sized board.

I am really disappointed, the size of the board is really tiny the least to say. The paint brush is from bad quality. The outer box of the board reached me torn from one side. I do not feel really I did a good affair here. Thank you.

This is an item that should be shopped for in store...I was very disappointed by what arrived.Not at all the aesthetic or functionality that I desired.The money is gone.Next time, I will personally use my hands and eyes to choose the appropriate product in store.
