Handle with care. The lens can fall any time. If you remove the threaded handle, the frame opens and lens will fall. There is not even a proper groove or ridge supporting the lens with frame. I knew this may happen, so took enough precaution while unscrewing the handle. Now I modified it by wrapping an insulating tape around the frame, so that the lens is firmly seated inside the frame. Also once you open the handle/frame, its bit difficult to centralise the lens back in its frame because of the expanding steel frame. The working distance is also bit less than I expected.

Not worth.. Magnification is too small

This product is Awesome! Even though there was a small dent in the metal frame and the packaging was not that good, but still considering the quality of the product I give it a Five Star Rating. It is worth it! The Magnifying power of the glass is very good. But beware, it is quite heavy and if you have weak hands, then don't buy it. Before using it one must place the glass properly in the frame and fix the handle tightly. Please take extra care to do this step, otherwise it might come off, since the glass is so heavy. Clean the glass with spirit (after shave will do) to clean some tiny white spots. Once properly and tightly fixed and cleaned it is a JOY reading with this magnifying glass. You will even forget at times, it is so heavy!

1. It is very heavy would be nice to have a better handle tobalance that weight. 2. The lens is made of glass ( explains why it is so heavy) and works very nicely for reading at about 8 inches. Being of glass makes it stratch proof too ...... not recommended for long reading use. For that you can buy a cheaper plastic lens or go in for costly head bands.

Magnification is quite good and clear, overall it is quite heavy but the handle is not of good aesthetic taste. Improve the quality and design of the handle to make the product premium also the Stainless steel frame holding the lens is of very poor taste.
