Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

I was so highly anticipated to read this story, i first wanted to watch the movie but i decided to read it first, it is a simple story yet it's so nice to read especially the monologues and how he feels, each villain in each issue represents Bruce's physical and mental state, upto 3rd issue everything runs perfectly but in 4th issue, many of the situations felt rushed, especially how the fight with Superman began, but still i loved reading this, and I've recently gotten into comics and this is my third Batman comic

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is a seminal work that completely changed how Batman comics were being written. Frank Miller reintroduced a darker, grittier and more grounded Bruce Wayne, that was perhaps lost in the era of somewhat funny and whimsical Batman movies of the 80's. It delves into the psychology of Batman, what makes him tick. It also shows a more calculative and experienced Batman, who while is not as agile as his younger self but makes up for his lost youth through calculated and precise strikes. I was recommended this book, and now I am a believer.

Although the packaging of the book was not so bad, but the book was very poorly maintained. There was this sticker with heavy glue on both side of cover few pages inside the book was torn and over all quality us bad. But as for the story it is the definitive Batman story with beautiful artworks and one of the best storyline if all time from Frank Miller. If you don't know anything about the character this is the starting point

When batman comes back from retirement, it's the comeback for the ages, he is not the hero we deserve, but a hero we need..!

The storyline of this book is really amazing. If there would ever be a end to batman then I hope it is done this way. You might find the art a little lazy but later it starts to grow on you and you start liking it. This comic book shows why DC has always been better at writing books. It is really a classic book and worth you money and time.

Simply AMAZING!!!!!I was expecting a lot from this comic and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The art is fantastic and so is the writing. The story is inspiring as it shows a man despite being limited physically trying to bring justice to those who have poisoned his city.HE IS THE BATMAN!!

Frank miller always proves a gritty Batman is the best outcome. For those of us who truly grew up with this character and know what he means and represents. Frank hits every mark with this comic ! A great read!

Frank Miller did the heretofore unthinkable, he flashed forward to one of our greatest heroes in his twilight years to present a very realistic representation of what could be for Batman, Superman, the Joker and others. Very smartly written and beautifully drawn in a gritty style that works so well for this story. Do not hesitate for a second, if you are interested just buy it, you won't regret it.

Edição linda, em capa dura, mantendo o estilo e as capas originais no interior. Para quem gosta de HQs com temas mais adultos, é praticamente uma obrigação pelo menos ler essa história uma vez.
