Q: Does this collapse and can it be height-adjusted at all?

Yes, the feet collapse and it can be height-adjusted. Although, I would say it is a lower rest, suitable for a shorter than average neck. I could never get it quite as high as my Everest collapsible rest, for example. I am 5' 5" and have a medium neck length, not overly short or long. I hope this helps.

Q: Will this work for viola?

Yes. Violin shoulder rests will measure up with viola ones to an extent. This rest fits a 14” viola. If you have a larger size, get a 15” or above - search for viola rest

Q: Where is this made/manufactured?

These rests are made in Estonia. I will say that this rest is actually a little lower than medium height. I actually ended up liking the Everest collapsible, which is slightly higher than this one.
