Suono vintage lussuoso e raffinato, una combinazione perfetta di echi psichedelici, lounge, exotica, funk e più classico cantautorato, con una suadente steel guitar hawaiana che si inserisce in ogni occasione possibile e immaginabile: lasciarsi trascinare dopo un po' diventa più facile che mai.Un disco pop ben strutturato nella produzione, con la voce di Sakamoto molto duttile, i pezzi si susseguono come lunga jam slow-psych da gustarsi tutta d'un fiato.

Vinyl sounds great and the music is just amazing. I'm so glad that I've discovered this artist. He's a cross between Happy End, Steely Dan, lounge and tropicalia. Excellent album.

このアルバムに収められた坂本慎太郎氏の曲は、一度や二度聞いただけでは良さが分かりにくい。アルバムを何度も通して聴いているうちに、お、この曲はなんだ・・・と、メロディーが主張するポイントに、いきなり気付かされる。その曲を好きになる。聞くうちに、一つ一つ、曲を好きになっていく。その過程が、自分の成長と似て楽しい。歌詞について言えば、今回のアルバム、何かを訴えている気がする。刹那的な快楽に溺れ、もう以前に戻ることもできず、生きる力をなくして滅びゆく人類。その快楽とは何か？麻薬かカルト宗教のようなものをイメージするが、人類が誇る文明をイメージしてみても、また違う味わいが楽しめる。いろんな楽しみ方ができるアルバムだ。
