I had picked up a very cheap gooseneck light and magnifying glass, and it's clamp plate broke on the underside. I got this as a replacement and it's been worlds better than the other, even when it worked. Very happy with the quality and design. It did cost about as much as the lamp but everything fit perfectly and works great.

The seller was great - product got here as soon as I could wish and it was packaged adequately. The product itself, I had to ding a star because the 1/2 inch post hole was a little too tight (I think because of the powder coating or paint) and I had to force the lamp into it. The lamp post doesn't sit all the way into the hole, but it's enough to hold the lamp up securely so no big deal. The clamp is sturdy and heavy and well built. I like that it will work in various orientations. I would recommend.

I bought this to replace the in-box clamp that came with my Bostitch desk lamp because it was awful, and this clamp is miles better. Now my lamp doesn't wiggle around in the base and fall to the floor (especially helped by the screw that PERFECTLY fits into the notch on the lamp), and it also grabs the very narrow edge of my desk far better than the factory clamp did.

The clamp works pretty well, but my lamp did not quite fit into the hole in the clamp. I had to drill the hole out just a little. Once I drilled the hole out making it larger, my lamp fits and the clamp works fine.

As with others, the holes were to small. So, Naturally, we just gonna drill it out. Don't need much. Cool, simple rite? Well, then you go clamp it to the table, only to find out the clamp screw for mounting it to the table just wants to push off and tighten at an angle! And the more you try to tighten it the worse it gets! Then, with just a ever so slightly pull with a pinky, it comes rite off! Another fine product from you all know where! SMMFH!!

This is a good replacement for my clamp for my desk lamp. My old one was plastic and seemed to loosen when the lamp was moved. This one remains tight to the desk and easily fit the lamp connection.
