My expectations were pretty low for this. Set up was straight forward. The instructions were short but adequate. I started cutting a short length of tubing, maybe 6” for each blue “spike” I was going to use. I put 1 spike at the end of each short hose and then put a T-connector on the other end of the short hoses (hooking to the base of the T). I then took the tube and ran it the total length of my watering run and holding the distant end in place with a blue spike (which you will need at the end anyway). Starting at the far end I cut the long hose as I got to each plant location and inserted one of my short hose/blue spike sections. I then moved to the next plant and cut the long hose inserted one of the Ts with hose/spike and continued until I had all the plants done. I put the filter attachment to another length of hose and put that in my water source before hooking the other end up to the pump.I am using it for my tomatoes, which are very water hungry. Because of that I elected to put 2 spikes in each plant. I ended going with 15 minutes 1xday. Once the summer roles around and the heat arrive I may adjust.The system works great. I like that it waters at the roots while allowing me to easily adjust the amount of water my plants are getting. I have already recommended it to someone and will likely buy a 2nd system.

I bought theee different brands, and these work the best. I like that they have a lot of scheduling options. The screen is a little bit hard to see, so I brought it inside to program it. Set it up well in advance if you're going on vacation so that you can see how much water it uses and get the timing like you want it. Really helps keep my outside container plants watered.

Easy to install. Works like a charm. Perfect tool for when you are going on vacation or just want to control your water usage.

Easy to setup and run

I purchased this because I was leaving town for 4 days. I spent about a hour setting up and was ready to test it out. The power switch is broken and the unit did not work. I tried to get an exchange for the next day and it’s a 4 day delay. I had to order from another company that will deliver between 4-8am, that will be enough time to get it set up.

The front of my house is ugly. Its on a main road, and there is nothing but sidewalk and road. I have a lawn and garden, and its mormal suburbia in the back. So I spent my time making my backyard and garden looking nice before i even thought about the front. Well i finally got a couple window planters and a couple really nice stone bowl on a pedestal planters, and at least the front pops with a little natural color now. I went on a 6 day road trip about 7 and half hours south of here back on 6/20, and the weather turned out to be the first heat wave of the year. Although it had already been one of the hottest last month of spring that I remember. I didn't even know they made irrigation drip machines that weren't giant ones used for farmland, or medium ones for greenhouses. Bought this, tested it out the day before we left, and it worked as advertised. I hid the water bucket behind one of the pedestal planters. When I went away, I asked my neighbor to, a couple times, please check to see if they were alive and the soil was moist, and fortunately they were. When we got back, the plants looked as good as before. (not to say they all looked great; my green thumb isn't so green haha) It's worked just as well since we got back watering on the schedule I set. So far, so good.

Ceased function after 2 days, seemed like solar panel could not charge the battery for some reason. Bad wiring? Or bad battery? I did like its ease of setting up the timers but yea, the cease of functionality was bad. I also do not know if it had run dry protection, since it had really terrible instructions and no real documentation.

Great concept but I couldn't get it to turn on after having been charged in full sun. I had bought 2 so I pulled the other pump out and it started as soon as I got in the sun. The tabs popped off and it was dripping water making me think it was returned. The screen on the pump is almost unreadable and not easy to set. I was able get the first one on but still struggled to set it. I don't know if both my sets are defective or this is how this is made. My sets are past the return date so I am unable to return. This product is disappointing.
