As an avid backpacker I am always looking for ways to save weight and this is the best method I've found so far. I do discard the can and use either a gallon zip lock or Nalgene. I'm also going to try making my own at home.

100% Dihydrogen Monoxide, mixes well with water!
Not bad. The ingredients are pure dihydrogen monoxide, and it mixes well with H20 to make a whole gallon of water! Great for backpacking.
