This awning requires two people to assemble, and the small screw cap is not so easy to tighten, but other than that, it is pretty good. The aluminum alloy roller and iron support rod structure are very solid, with good adjustment performance, the waterproof and sun-proof fabric is of good quality, and the light brown color makes the area under the awning not so dim. With it, the small living room next to the balcony is no longer exposed to the sun, and the whole living room has become much cooler. On weekends or in leisure time, I can spend a good time under the awning with my family and friends. I am very satisfied with this awning👍

My townhouse has a western exposure and the Colorado afternoon sun really heats up the place. It also makes sitting outside in the afternoon unbearable because it’s too bright. I have a big umbrella that helps, but the coverage isn’t great, both in terms of blocking sunlight and protection from light rain.I would have preferred to install a permanent awning, but I’m renting and the owner didn’t allow it. This awning is a very good alternative. It fits the 12x5 balcony perfectly and it blocks out the sun in the living room nicely. I just set it up but I’m looking forward to seeing how much it helps with the heat.The awning is sturdy enough. It’s pretty gusty out right now and while the awning is flapping, the frame is staying put.I’ll echo the other comments that complain about the sparse instructions. It all makes sense once you figure out how to set it up, but it’s easy to miss details. I almost went on a hardware store run to try to hack what I thought was missing parts on the roller rods, but I found the parts after taking yet another close look.I was able to set it up myself. But it would have gone a lot quicker with another person to help.It’s fitting my needs perfectly!

When ordering a 10’ x 10’ awning, I would assume it would extend out 10’ to cover my patio. After assembling (with terrible, picture-only directions included!), I found that the lever arm will only allow the awning to extend out about 5’. Further cranking causes the front end to angle down to the ground rather than extending out the full distance. It is not functional for the size advertised. I ordered 3, and returned two. I’ll find a use for the one I assembled, even though it will not be for my planned use (only because I don’t want to disassemble it after the time it took to assemble). Very disappointed!

If you have put together a grill or other item with moderate assembly parts then this will be straight forward for you. The instructions are picture based and the items are clearly marked, so it is straight forward. One caution is you will need a long table to assemble the canopy. This is a two person job. The canopy is designed for a level soffit, so angled blocks will be needed if you have an angled soffit. I just cut two blocks at 12 degrees and it worked great. Setting up is the difficult part. Three people would be even better for this part. The canopy is nice and I think it will last a while. The wife is happy and that is all that matters.

Excellent product made of great materials and an easy-to-follow instruction manual.Some tips for those of you considering this products:1. It takes 2-3 people together to get the awning set up because it is big and heavy.2. When you roll the sail, it should be rolling toward you with the flat side on the further from you.3. Make sure the orientation of the adjuster is correct.

The media could not be loaded. You get what you pay for. Very cheaply made elbows split. Would’ve paid an extra 20 dollars if they made metal ones like a lawn chaise lounge elbows with ball bearing locking feature. The material and cranki g mechanism are well built though.***UPDATE Very prescient title as I just heard a thump 10 minutes ago. Only 2 days after filming and the rivet inside the plastic adjustable elbow snapped in half rendering my 3 stars now a ZERO Stars. Don't waste your money on this junk as the plastic parts make it unsuitable in any engineering sense of the word to even bring this item to market. Unfortunately, I cannot return this as I had to finish the resurfacing of my balcony first.

Easy to install with no drilling into the house! Effective shade. Great for shielding the sun. We have the sun exposing our house, making it very hot before sunset. These awnings reduce the temperature by at least 15 to 20 degrees. Excellent awning—sturdy material, clean look. Provides great shade. Fast shipping too!

This seems to be a well made product! Took three people to assemble...probably could have done it with two. Easy to adjust and roll in/out. We will see how it stands up to the next windstorm, but very happy so far.
