Just as described

I had a very hard time getting these secured onto the 1/2" hose but, once everything was installed it felt very secure. No leaks and it's holding up to the weather so far.

These worked surprisingly well. Very easy to attach hose and lock down. Will see how the plastic holds up in the sun, but otherwise the prior ratings seem accurate.

This drip irrigation part is alternative to the kits and brand sold at Lowe’s and it’s a fraction of Lowe’s pricing. We started with the Lowe’s kit and after deciding to convert our 30’x120’ garden to drip to provide better irrigation and save water, we needed a more affordable solution. We bought 1/4” and 1/2” tubing on Amazon, drippers, and all the 1/4” & 1/2” couplings and fittings. We installed 300 drippers on 6 zones in the garden. 100 drippers on 2 zones in the front landscaping. The 1/4” polyethylene line on Amazon is a little tougher to slide over fittings, but 3 seconds under a heat gun it slides over easily (don’t go more than 3 sec). 50 drippers is about the max that can function on a traditional garden hose bib. We run each zone for about 30 min daily here in Florida (we haven’t had rain in a while and soil drains quickly). We were running sprinklers for much longer and the plants still weren’t getting enough water. A few days on drippers was quite a noticeable difference. Buying all the parts on Amazon saved us 1/2 or more on the project.

This GHT adapter is designed to connect a 1/2" PVC irrigation hose to a standard outdoor spigot. The setup process is simple in theory: unscrew the hose collar, slide it over the tubing (threaded side facing the hose end), insert the hose barb, then slide the collar back down and screw it on to secure the connection. However, the collar’s internal ridge is slightly too tight. Once the hose is seated on the barb, the collar can't clear the expanded diameter to thread back on properly. This made reassembly nearly impossible without adjustment. I was able to fix the issue by carefully grinding down the ridge by about 1/32" using a beveling chamfer bit. Quick and easy solution, but something the manufacturer should refine.

Sturdy

The principle behind this item is solid. However, I found it impossible to screw the cap on fully which does cause some issue. I would recommend you make sure your hose is cut almost perfect and pushed all the way to the stop. I was not able to screw any of the 9 adapters fully. If you try to much, you will only end up popping it back out and having only to tight to a small point. I think it is a manufacturing issue with the inside screw stop hitting before it is fully engaged. The cap would need to be longer to support full screw cork tightening. Connectivity is an issue. Looks great but not sure how this will hold up with durability not being fully closed. Some leaking may be need to be treated and plumber tape is a must.

Easy to use works well

Spectacular product that is the same thing my local irrigation store sells for much more.
