What are the little pieces of wood for that come with the canvas please?

These wedges, or keys, can be used to keep your canvas taut now and into the future. If you choose to use them, and you don't have to, it is probably best to do so PRIOR to painting. Ideally, you'll need some water, maybe in a spray bottle, and a small hammer. Lay your canvas face down and spray a little water onto the back of it, making sure to have it pass beneath the wooden frame (stretcher). This will loosen the canvas. Now push a key into the slots in each corner, one in each direction so that the angled edge lies against the inside of the canvas - don't worry about which way round to place them - as long as you can tap the square end with your hammer. Now, as your canvas dries, it will tighten nicely after use of the water or paint.

Can these be used for water based spray paint

The canvas can be used for air spray paint

Exerz 24x30cm Framed Canvas 5pk - 1.7cm Pre-Stretched Canvas Artist Blank If search in Youtube or Google, you can find a lot of to teach you how to use the wedgets (stretcher). Normally, you don't need to use it for such a small size canvas like 24x30cm but if the weight of paint make the canvas loose, you can just put it in the frame to tight it a little bit.
