Worked great as a replacement for FolgerTech I3 2020 Reprap
The quality of this hot end appears to be quite good. A few notes:1. As another reviewer stated the heat sink is full size, I swapped my heat sink from the MK7 over so I could fit my print cooling fans on again.2. Had to swap the back plate off of the original FolgerTech stepper motor to get it to fit perfectly. The back of the FolgerTech is flush all the way across, this one is not it has the corners cut out where the screws go. The supplied back cased the extruder not to be parallel with the print bed.3. The hot end worked flawlessly for several days and then it was under extruding. Ended up being the toothed drive pulley on the stepper motor. The set screws were loose. Make sure to check those. Once tightened all was well. All in all it was a good experience and fit perfectly. The printer is printing better than I can remember and I did not even have to calibrate the stepper motor.UPDATE:After several months of printing things started not to go well. The fan is on the cheap side and squeals. The heater block was installed upside down which made me have to disassemble the entire extruder to get the heating element out.All in all it is still worth it, just take it apart and make sure they put it together right.

Good replacement hotend.
I purchased this hotend to replace an ailing hotend on my Folgertech 2020i. The original hotend was a standard Mk7. I was hoping that an all-metal hotend would improve the overall reliability of the printer. Here are my observations:1. It's all metal. That means that it will last and doesn't need the cooling block that is normally on the throat. The metal body of the hotend acts as a heatsink, so you don't have to worry about the filament melting up in the extruder.2. This model came with a very beefy throat. The PTFE lining was thicker than normal, which means that the throat will last longer.3. The design of the extruder makes it a little harder to feed filament into the extruder. There's a significant gap between the extruder gear and the entrance to the throat and it's a little tricky getting the filament all the way in.4. The heatsink is full-size. My old MK7 hotend has the ability to mount secondary cooling fans to the hotend where the heatsink is. This one does not. It's a simple matter to swap out for the old heat sink, but it's worth noting.5. Myold MK7 hotend had a strap on the cooling block that the cables would be fed through as a strain release. Since this hotend does not have a cooling block, that option is missing. I'll have to see if it can be modified (hole drilled) to add that back. So, after installing the new hotend and re-leveling my printer for new position of the extruder nozzle, I have had no more issues with filament getting stuck in the hotend or other feed issues. I'm pleased with the hotend and its quality and would recommend it for others looking for an upgrade.

Don't waste your money.
The biggest issue I had with this is the placement of the tension arm. With the spring it came with, there was absolutely no tension available so I couldn't draw any of the filament in. The arm either needs repositioning in it's design or a longer spring to create the tension needed. The heating element heats really fast. I overheated my setup with the first heating. From a cold start, I have to preheat to no more than 190 so the temperature can come down and stabilize. Only then can I heat to full temp. The fan is also much louder than my old one. It spins like it's going to pull itself apart. An added resistor in the line would quiet it down without reducing it's capability.I liked the full metal design, but it doesn't lend to an easy second fan placement. The description did mention such a mounting issue. I had to remove the fan and bend it's bracket out of the way to get it to fit and drill an additional hole for the mounting screw. This too, was only long enough to hold the spring in place but not with the mounting bracket in place. I had to go out and buy a longer 4mm screw to accomplish the task. All said, I really needed the hotend block and element. I pulled that from everything else that it came with and used much of my old equipment. It works, but I now have a lot of extra hardware left that would have been nice, but ultimately can't use. I can only hope that software can counter some of the issues I've encountered.

Bang for the buck
Was sick of the mk10 hotend on my maker select. One bolt/nut, level the bed and adjust steps/mm and it prints beautifully.Best $20.00 I've spent in a long time.

Good quality.
While this seems to be decent quality, it is not a direct replacement for a Anet A8. In my particular case I can make it work because I have a mill. If you plan on using this for an Anet a8 you will need to cut off or otherwise trim the lever.

Great customer service and support
Seems like a great unit but it broke. The stepper motor pins pulled right out of the unit.Awsome customer Service replaced it.. two days later I was back to printing. Adimlab print not a direct fix but easly to configure it so it does...

Motor NO FUNCIONA
Al igual que otros compradores me lleve la desagradable sorpresa: El Motor NO Funciona.Todo lo demás es correcto. El cable de alimentación para el ventilador del disipador, es MUY CORTO.No lo devuelvo porque necesitaba todo menos el motor.
