Lavazza Dek Decaffeinated Coffee Beans 1 x 500g

As I opened these Lavazza coffee beans the beautiful rich aroma reminded me of the smell and freshness of the full caffeine Lavazza beans. So I am stood there with my nose in the bag taking in this amazing aroma lol.I find that these beans are smaller in size than the full caffeine beans but in my opinion this does not detract from the quality and the smooth well balanced taste in which I did not detect any bitterness at all.These beans have a subtle nuttiness and a delicate fruitiness to them. They are bold without being too strong. A perfect fit for me.Honestly these beans are so good it’s hard to believe they are not full caffeine beans.I must admit I have tried a few different brands of coffee beans but these are now my absolute favourite for my bean to cup coffee machine.As far as the price is concerned I feel they offer value for money because of their quality even though the price is more expensive they are:1. Italian coffee beans and:2. They are decaffeinated using the water process whereas the cheaper brands use solvents in the decaffeinating process.In my opinion I give these beans a whopping 9/10 for the best decaffeinated coffee beans I have tried to date.

I really enjoy these coffee beans. Decided to quite caffeine so these are a great replacement and I didnt even notice the taste change.Definitely recommend and great value also.

A lovely strong tasting decaf coffee!! Tried so so many as I love strong coffee but couldn't have much while I was pregnant. This was the closest one to a proper espresso style coffee, so much so we got it on subscription! Sadly the price has gone up and up over the last year, far more than normal inflation so 4 stars because of that!

Quality Decaf beans😋😋😋

Lovely and smooth but a gentle anount of body too.. So good to find a decaffeinated coffee that tastes just like the normal version!

One has very little or no choice of decaffeinated coffee beans in retail stores and supermarkets, so one has to buy from a specialist. I find the Lavazza DEK beans very flavourful and they make a coffee with good body which is suitable for breakfast and all day drinking.For cardiac reasons I have to cut down on my daily caffeine intake and these DEK beans fulfil the purpose admirably. I still drink Lavazza's Qualita Rosso if I need some caffeine during the dayIn fact, at evening committee meetings, when I serve this DEK coffee made in a cafetiere, none of my colleagues realises that the coffee is decaf.These beans are decaffeinated using the water process which accounts for their premium price. Cheaper decaf beans are solvent decaffeinated. A process that I am not comfortable with.Overall a good product and recommended. In my cafetiere I always use a medium grind setting using a burr grinder and infuse for 4 minutes before depressing the plunger. Don't ram the plunger hard down against the coffee grounds or you will extract the bitterness.

Excellent decaf coffee

Machine - Delonghi La Specialista Arte EvoGrind Size - 4WDT + 30lb Calibrated Tamper14g IN20g OUTFirst of all - I'm very very new to espresso. I was recommended that the Lavazza Super Crema was a great starting point for the time. Being new to making espresso from the bean, I was actually very impressed with the Super Crema so much that I wanted to drink coffee the whole day. In comes the Lavazza DEK.Using the built in grinder from the La Specialista - I have no real control outside what the machine is capable of, so I guess I'm happy with it. It is a little clumpy from the grind, but I use a WDT tool to break it apart!I read that the DEK has anywhere between 2-8mg of caffeine, so it is pretty light. I try to limit my caffeine intake to around 600mg per day, so this bean is great to have through the day and at night after dinner. Opening the bag smelled absolutely delicious. The first thing it reminded me of was cereal. I actually had no idea that was part of the note, but yes - cereal was VERY apparent. It smelled wonderful.I paired this with Oatly Oatmilk Barista edition, and my goodness it actually tasted so frickin good. Literally cereal.I am also surprised that this is dark roast - I had no idea. Again, being new to coffee, I'm actually unsure if all decaf beans are dark roast, but it was exceptionally light on my palate (maybe the milk?) and I was very pleased by it.

Macinato a 3 come riferimento.Grammi 9 per il singolo caffè …..usare il filtro per un espresso risulta un pochino più difficile.Comunque un caffè superbo per essere un DEKA.Perfetto!!
