Solid entry stick. Nice weight, easy to mod if you want and a good size. This is my third alpha, I have the SF6 edition and the Xbox SX edition. I got this one because Tekken is my favorite fighting game. So I’m using this as a display to go along with my Jin statue. I don’t plan on opening it. If you can find these for under $200, close to the sub $150 range then you’ll be happy.

The Hori Alpha is more than serviceable as a starter fight stick. The Hayabusa lever and buttons are actually great, but of course everything can be swapped out or customized easily thanks to the open design of this stick. The asking price may seem a bit high to some, but I believe this is a high quality product worthy of it. And of course this being the Tekken 8 edition makes it even cooler.

This stick is amazing!

I'm by no means a fight stick expert, but ive used quite a few Hori Products over the years including the RAP4. This Alpha is my favorite. Easy and comfortable to use, the bigger design gives your hands more resting room, especially if your a taller person with bigger hands like myself. It was designed for easy modding. I was able to change out all the buttons and the lever to sanwa parts with absolutely no difficulty. I even changed the artwork. I can't tell you if it's the best stick out there because I've never used the others, but if your in the market for, comfortability, ease of use and Modding, you can't go wrong with the Alpha.

Its a great fightstick but i recommend replacing the stick with sanwa. In addition the seller is very helpful in customs procedures, I recommend.

I used this joystick for my PS5. Playing Tekken 8. What I liked, it seemed to be a solid joystick, even though it was 'plasticly'. It controlled well and the button layout was good. What I do not like, after the end of the returnable date, the controls seem to look up and I would have to unplug and replug the joystick. This happens at least once during a gaming session. By locking up, I mean the joystick will become unresponsive and some buttons, when pressed do not respond. All in all, for the price I can not recommend this joystick, due to my personal experience. I will have to look into modifications to get the stock and possible the buttons to work consistently. Thank you.

Awesome arcade stick, compatible with more than advertised. Worked with PC,PS5, PS4 and surprisingly PS3 consoles and Ps2/PS1 on Ps3 :), Games tested Tekken 7,8, MK1,11,X(PS5), MvsC2,CvsS2,SFvsTk,MK arcade collection(Ps3) and SFA2(PS1) im sure it works on more I just didn't have time to get more of my games out to try. But a great surprise! Build is great and sturdy, responsive buttons and firm stick and of course interchangeable hardware etc.

Been thinking of buying a arcade stick for a while for fighting games, after buying Tekken 8 it was a no brainer, this looks awesome, only tried it for a hour but Tekken 8 is great on it and tried capcom classics on it ghost and goblins is great with the stick, takes me back to my childhood in the old 80s arcades, very happy with the purchase and a good price too 😊

Pros: Best part of this stick is its direct plug and play with the PS5. The buttons feel responsive and have been standing up to use. Super easy to change the buttons, joystick and artwork. The 3.5mm headset adapter located on the side works great and the tournament lockout switch works amazing. Cons: The first big con is going to be the price. I got an absolute bargain at $161 for this stick. If I was to pay $280 I would be probably be a lot more judgemental about it. The Lollipop style joystick which I changed to the “Bat top” style, just personal preference. The actual joystick itself has a larger dead zone than a Sanwa JLF. My final gripe is based on the colour way of this particular version of the stick. The Tekken 8 stripes on either side do not come off easily and the lower portion of the stick is pink, this is 100% personal and if you already like how the stick looks, it will not be a setback to you. Final thoughts, On sale, dollar for dollar this is one of the best deals on an in home arcade experience. The ability to change out to higher quality parts later and with ease is for sure a selling point because everything breaks sooner or later.
